Questions on how some of this stuff works:

1) Just to be clear, the current training is kaput? I got confused the first four times I read it when you were talking about intense training and I thought you meant the 2 skills for 5 TP training.
2) I don't follow the whole unlocking attributes description. So when I start day 1, can I train any attribute I want but just not in a pair? Or do I only have one attribute I can train period? Can I not do any pair training (i.e. the current 5 TP intense) unless I pay to unlock attributes first or will the current pairs still be available and I'm just unlocking new ones?

This is very hard to express verbally, so let's do an example.

I spend 10 tokens to unlock speed. Does that mean I can train speed with any other attribute now? Or just with certain ones?

Next, I unlock agility as my 2nd attribute for 20 tokens...so can I train just speed & agility together? Speed with anything and agility with anything? Speed and agility together with any third thing? Could really use an example here, Catch.
3) Are the resource units for equip the same as those for shopping tokens? IOW, do I get 100 of each or 100 total? I think it's 100 total but that's not very much if I don't have any AE bought yet. I mean, I might need 50 RU just to find a good piece, then 20 RU to buy the piece, then I only have 30 left. How in the hell do I upgrade equip too? Why are shopping tokens so "expensive"?
4) Does level 1 shopping mean I only get 1 item in the store or 1 more than normal for my level? If I am lvl 46 and do level 1 shopping, do I get 1 item in the store or 6? If I don't want to spend bonus tokens, can I still shop like today and get 5 items for 1 shopping token?
5) Is today's normal training equivalent to a light, medium, hard, or intense workout as far as the training % gain for our bar. That would help a lot to put these changes in to context.

Losing the fun out of the game with all of these complicated "fixes".

So you've announced these changes are definitely coming even before anything has been made or tested?

I'm guessing they'll see the light and decide not to put the changes through.

Don't you see why this is so complicated? How do I decide the optimal number of days to train light, medium, or hard before going to intense or spending tokens?.

I mean do I want to do 5 days intense first to unlock level 1, then do medium or hard until I have 25 tokens to go back to intense and unlock level 2 and then do medium or hard until I have 50 tokens to go back to intense and unlock level 3, etc. or is it better to train on hard until I have 100 tokens and then start unlocking or maybe I should just say fuck it and train intense level 0 every day and not worry about the bonuses? I can probably add 10 or 20 other combos and we haven't even started talking about secondary training yet.

I mean really, Catch, you think the average player can figure out what the right strategy is (or even a useful strategy) for accumulating and spending bonus tokens? Just cause the interface will be clean, doesn't mean anyone will know what to do. Too much choice = too much frustration.

For whoever said, the reaction to AE was the same, I disagree wholeheartedly. AE wasn't that hard to figure out if you thought about it for a bit. You had to make guesses on whether to buy % equip or SA equip, but the mechanics of it weren't that hard to figure out. I don't even know where to start on planning a build strategy right now.

Solid post....new system is a whole bunch of mysterious "WTF do I do next" for anyone without a weekend to figure it all out with excel.

Honest question here - is this *meant* to be confusing to throw player building into disarray for a couple of seasons so that new players have a fighting chance of building a dot as good as the next guy's?

I really don't feel like reading though a ton of these so can somebody answer me about what going to happen to our current AEQ are we going to lose it? Did we just go though a change this season with this?

He just answered this.. shopping stays will be just as it is today + the bonus levels. If you get 5 pieces now and do a level 1 bonus, you'd see 6 pieces in the shop.
The resource units are the same for everything. You get 100 and have to choose what you want to do with them.

edit: I assume you don't use Resource Units to upgrade AEQ. Only bonus tokens? As the cost to get AEQ you want is pretty high. I'd like to know that for sure though.

Then your behind, and will fall by the wayside as people who have it already planned out build that strategy. That is sort of the point of changes like this, it adds to the dynamic of the game, and people who found this site in the 1st 2 seasons aren't embedded at the top of the game. Strategy/intelligence actually plays a part in who is at the top. This is what gives new users an advantage they may not have had until now. Crunch some numbers plot a strategy, and reap the rewards.

I'll tell you what hot shot...I won't even ask you what the right or wrong strategy is yet. I just want you to tell me how you can possibly have a solution when the actual numbers on most of this stuff are still undefined. If you can mathematically solve an equation with more than one unknown, we should nominate you for a Nobel.

Truth is you are just guessing, but you're too foolish to realize it so you spout ignorance instead.

You get 100 resource points per season. Is they any way to get more during the season?

Yeah, the one answered overlapped my typing.

I believe AE requires RU and BT. "Upgrading AEQ will be the same cost as upgrading normal EQ plus eight bonus tokens"

You can have the players chop down trees for lumber or if you have a mine around your stadium you can use that to get gold.

WTF......OVER

I play this game to have some fun....I consider myself fairy intelligent, but not a math wiz..
I have met some pretty cool people..and the limited time I have been able to put towards this game has been fun so far...it has been a fun ride

Ride might be about over.......I think I see an exit sign on the horizon

I have never been resistant to change, as it can be a good thing when done correctly. Now I know it is impossible to make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time, but as I read through this thread I see a lot of negative comments about these changes. This makes me doubt that this is something "that a lot of people have been asking for", and a possible interpretation problem exists.

Proposed changes to game + public outcry against said changes + I pay money to play this game = I might have to rethink spending any more money

ditto

Well an educated guess is better than no guess. Also I see how you blitz linebackers, and it is painful to say the least. If you can't figure out how to get sacks with a lb'er who can hit 38 you aren't gonna figure out this training system.
