WTF......OVER

I play this game to have some fun....I consider myself fairy intelligent, but not a math wiz..
I have met some pretty cool people..and the limited time I have been able to put towards this game has been fun so far...it has been a fun ride

Ride might be about over.......I think I see an exit sign on the horizon

I have never been resistant to change, as it can be a good thing when done correctly. Now I know it is impossible to make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time, but as I read through this thread I see a lot of negative comments about these changes. This makes me doubt that this is something "that a lot of people have been asking for", and a possible interpretation problem exists.

Proposed changes to game + public outcry against said changes + I pay money to play this game = I might have to rethink spending any more money

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't be bothered to sift through 69 pages of stuff.

Is the shopping for AEQ going to be the same as it was before? In the terms that you get an extra piece and better stuff at the 11, 21, 31 etc etc intervals?

Correct.

Why the fuck would you do this?

This game has become more and more about micro management ever since season 2. At one time it was a fun little game where you didn't have to be a rocket scientist to set things up and have a bit of fun.

Oh to hell with it

thanks catch,

I'm still trying to digest all of this. I've read it like 5 different times and each time I read it I get something different from it.

do you think it would be possible to see a "moch interface" or something ahead of time? I think the interface will go a long way to making sure people understand it.

Here's an example of how it works:

Light Training - cost 2 TP's, you gain 15% to an attribute and 3 bonus tokens
Medium Training - cost 2 TP's, you gain 30% to an attribute and 2 bonus tokens
Hard Training - cost 2 TP's, you gain 45% to an attribute and 1 bonus token
Intense Training - cost 2 TP's, you gain 60% to an attribute and it counts as 1 training towards moving to Level One enhanced Intense Training.

Light/Medium/Hard do not count towards moving up levels in Intense Training. Once you've trained on intense five times, you'll be able to spend five bonus tokens to unlock level one. The next five times you train intense, it will cost you two training points but you will gain 66% (10% increase) instead of 60%. If you wish to move up to Level Two then, you can do so for 10 bonus tokens. You would then gain 72% (20% increase) instead of 60%. The only way you can move up in levels is by intense training. The only time the bonus applies is when you are training intense.

Hope that clears it up (will be so much easier to explain with an interface lol).

Don't you see why this is so complicated? How do I decide the optimal number of days to train light, medium, or hard before going to intense or spending tokens?.

I mean do I want to do 5 days intense first to unlock level 1, then do medium or hard until I have 25 tokens to go back to intense and unlock level 2 and then do medium or hard until I have 50 tokens to go back to intense and unlock level 3, etc. or is it better to train on hard until I have 100 tokens and then start unlocking or maybe I should just say fuck it and train intense level 0 every day and not worry about the bonuses? I can probably add 10 or 20 other combos and we haven't even started talking about secondary training yet.

I mean really, Catch, you think the average player can figure out what the right strategy is (or even a useful strategy) for accumulating and spending bonus tokens? Just cause the interface will be clean, doesn't mean anyone will know what to do. Too much choice = too much frustration.

For whoever said, the reaction to AE was the same, I disagree wholeheartedly. AE wasn't that hard to figure out if you thought about it for a bit. You had to make guesses on whether to buy % equip or SA equip, but the mechanics of it weren't that hard to figure out. I don't even know where to start on planning a build strategy right now.

Bort's going to work on it this weekend. As soon as he gets it up and working, I'll post screenshots/videos of what it looks like.

I think this will help alleviate some of the issues that people are seeing. Being able to see it in action will help tremendously.

Then your behind, and will fall by the wayside as people who have it already planned out build that strategy. That is sort of the point of changes like this, it adds to the dynamic of the game, and people who found this site in the 1st 2 seasons aren't embedded at the top of the game. Strategy/intelligence actually plays a part in who is at the top. This is what gives new users an advantage they may not have had until now. Crunch some numbers plot a strategy, and reap the rewards.

Agreed, I don't think the training is so bad but I do have a ton of questions.

does it require both resource points and bonus tokens to upgrade AEQ?

So you've announced these changes are definitely coming even before anything has been made or tested?
