But ultimately you do need a forum. Whether it is a subforum or a PF (free or at discount). It kinda goes hand and hand I would think.

Current tourneys don't have PF's afaik

Well ultimately Bort will decide pricing along with how the PF/Sub-Forum should be structured.

I would say sub-forum as it would increase participation in a tourney. Why "hide" a tourney? No point too.

Actually, I just decided PF's would ruin this.

Cut all talk of private forums now imo. The idea is to keep the tourneys as public as possible so everyone can see and talk about them. PF's run counter to that.

I personally believe that the purchase of the tournament should be extremely cheap. As it stands, those who run tournaments do it at no financial cost. Formalizing the process might necessitate a price, but it should be very small. We would want to encourage the use of official brackets and pages by the best current tournaments, and a prohibitive cost would not help them and would hurt the prizes.

100FP? 50FP? I think the fact that people will be purchasing friendly games anyways will be encouraging for a lower price.

If you want to be able to get important info out like brackets and such, just make it so your able to use a Tourney Announcement thing like the team alerts

Yep I am with you on that, which is where my post just before yours went. Sub-forum it so it is public and gets activity.

Speaking on this, Tourney Coordinators. Would their be certain spots people could get added to?

I don't really see the need for any 'coordinators'

Or maybe under the owner's note. "Tournaments Entered" then it would link the the tournament page

This could be a possible idea. Anybody else like this?

That was a quote regarding keeping tournament records on team pages. Instead of updating the team page, it'd just link people to the tournament page.

Kinda. It would work just like the Team Alert thing. You make an announcement and it would either show on the Team Page, for the owner only, or something like that heh.
