It's got it's own section in the Friendlies forum, and even given it's own user account to handle the business (which doesn't even read PMs lol), but I feel we need to take things one step further.
Tournaments need to be a feature.
- An agent purchases a tournament bracket for X amount of Flex. The amount is dependent on the number of teams that are in it. Whether you want to go more teams = more cost due to server strain or more teams = less costs due to more FP spent on scrimmages, I don't care.
- Once an agent purchases a tournament (which they can name), the tournament gets a private forum, bracket, and the ability to upload a trophy to be given to the winner.
-Tournaments will be filled on the "send request"/"accept request" type deal. You send a team a tournament request, and the team has to accept before being placed in the bracket
- Tournament directors determine seeding, which means they should be able to place teams in the bracket one way or another
- Tournament GAMES are simply friendlies, and will follow all friendly costs.
- Tournaments should be able to set rules, like friendly must be ranked, must follow playoff overtime rules, etc. Putting a check list in a "Tournament Options" tab could be helpful. Then, when a team wants to schedule a tournament game, they simply click on the bracket match up and click "Schedule Game". Games not scheduled in this fashion do not count towards the tournament bracket.
- Allow Tournament ownership similar to team ownership. This means giving the agent the ability to purchase multiple seasons of tournaments, similar to a team ownership.

i was thinking have an option for 8, 16, and 32 team tourneys, with the teams randomly seeded
Other Ideas suggested:

16 teams - 800 FP + prize of games normal sized trophy
32 teams - 1200 FP + price of all games with a good sized trophy
this makes Bort money and lets the people who care ab this kinda stuff get their due

EDIT - Just need to smooth out the details a little.
25 FP per team to get into a 8 team tourney single elim
50 FP per team to get into a 16 single or 8 double
And so one... might be a good compromise.
That way it could be implemented by GLB.
You sign up to start a tourney calling it whatever you want.
And there's a 'tourney' sign up link on every owners page.
They would click Tourneys
Then find the one they've been invited to and enter a password or the organizer must have invited them. Then they pay the FP fee and there's a separate tourney page complete with bracket and stats, which the Tourney link (for viewing) also shows up on the team page. They could have tourney tropheys for the top 3 teams. And so on..
Any other ideas? If this idea is going to take off it needs a LOT of discussion and ideas to be smoothed out big time.

perhaps 2 tourney pages. 1 for private (invitation only) and 1 for public where you could set your maximum level for each team. maybe based on the Player level?

Yeah, don't think they can do that either.
Although whoever created the tourney would (could) have power to kick teams out before it starts. So if they aren't respecting the 'suggested' average level they'd be booted.

doubt this would happen, but another coll thing that could be done is allow tournaments to have an entrance fee, say 250k max per team, and then the winner takes the pot, or its split between the top 3 something like that
