I like this idea. This could even be expanded as to having tryouts for teams. Say if you have a player that is in AA, but you think that he could compete in the Pro leagues.......you can pay to join a training camp or maybe even some type of combine. You will get experience and see if your player can hang with the Pros.

Honestly, Great suggestion here BCF, I really like this idea. I'm primarily an owner (i have one player, but my real task on GLB is as an owner) and I'm ALL FOR paying for my players to be part of a training camp. This has LONG TERM benefits. I think it may be safe to say that initially (the first time training camp was available) the results would be of 'lesser margin' in scale and would be noticed a bit less, but after several seasons of having a consistent team and training camps the results imo, would be of a much larger scale.

I think this idea has TONS of potential.

This idea also has some intriguing potential to it imo.

What would be really cool would be too see my dots run the 40 and run drills...I would think that would be cool

Yeah, this is a great idea. I saw the comment about teams in the red as well. Think about it this way. If training camp would give a small bonus to fan support, why wouldn't you plan for the necessary funds to hold this? More fan support means more $$ with ticket sales. If it's an issue of finance, you need to hire somebody if you can't save 100-300K.

I love the idea, is there any way you can tie on position battle in the training camp. You mention stats for competition so I guess that would be it, but if you can break that down into your idea- It would earn a 5 star

Great idea, and it would give us something do to in the offseason. There has to be some changes to the offseason as far as what you can do. I think we are losing agents because its so long and they cant do anything that they just end up quiting. Especially newer agents.

I also would support the idea of getting ticket and consessions for pre season games and or events....doesnt have to be full price, can be a small portion for tickets, but NFL sells tickets to get into those events, and they sell food and such while the people are there.

Bort takes time to work on projects during the off-season. What about a project for the off-season?

I think this will be a great feature.. 1) it will help GMs/Owners/Co-ordinators to determine who is best suited for what position and determine what place they should be in the depth chart

and 2) becasue it will give agents and all the above something to do in the offseason when nothing is going on and its boring!

Hmmm....The idea of position battling is very intriguing. Although I believe that it would be incredibly difficult to do. Let me dwell on it for a bit and I'll see what I can come up with.
