I love this idea in general. But yes the full field almost looks like too much. I would stick to the regular playing surface and go from there.

One of the most annoying things when watching a replay is to see the QB wind up and throw it to a player dot that is…well, not there. That’s because this WR has run off the replay screen, but we can’t see him anymore even though the QB can. So I suggest extending the sidelines and viewing window a little bit so the play won’t go out the edge of the replay. Pabst has already written a GM script to test this, and it seems to work very well. The new field would look like this:

You may notice that there are a few changes to this field in addition to the extended sidelines. There are field goal posts, updated pylons, and 2-yardline hash marks as well.



Maybe we could have that as the field, but the other side could have the sports bar Epic Suggestion. Like the field on the left, the play-by-play on the top right, score at the very top or that could be like the BottomLine and show scores in your league and the USA Pro and also real sports to if Bort were so inclined, chat at the bottom right, and then the chain gang between the two but it would look like it's on the sideline
