I would like it if the different positions were different shapes... Linemen are squares, LBs would be triangles, WRs and CBs are circles, etc..

Yeah, I think it might be easier to distinguish players when they get all clumped up though...

Great ideas here, well done.

Would be good if the playing surface in an outdoor stadium got more worn as the season progressed, and positively love the idea of team colors and different shapes for positions.
