That's a pretty good idea.

I think I'm leaning towards GG's idea of team colors. You would choose a primary and a secondary color. The primary colors would be dark and the secondary colors would be light.

Primary:
Black
Brown
Dark Blue (the same as the current dots)
Maroon (dark red)
Dark Green
Purple

Secondary:
White (default)
Yellow (same as the current dots)
Orange
Sky Blue
Pink
Lime Green

I don't know. I'm not really sure how many different colors would be a hassle to include...
