If at the basic tactic screen I have set lets say 90/10 run/pass
but in my AI I have mostly pass play outputs how does it handle it?
I mean for the sake of an example lets say you had the 90/10 run/pass
and then had just 1 input that matches downs 1 to 4 any yards any position
etc in my O AI and that had 2 outputs:
20% run HB outside
80% pass long WR

what would you guys expect the play distribution to be for the game?

Also in blowouts i frequently dont want to run the ball as much as it does
but it seems the engine wants to run regardless of my AI.

Thanks everyone.

You set the AI by circumtances. If a circumstance comes up that you haven't set an input for, it will then go to your basic settngs.

EX. If you have an input set for 1st down in the game, but nothing for second down, it will follow your output settings in the AI on first and then follow the basic settings at second down. You really can't relly predict the output because ou don't know how many of each down you will have on offense or how many series you will end up with.

You can build the AI as deep and complicated as you want to. It just depends on how much time you want to put in it.

No, offense always come out first and defense sets based on offense formation. Offense is only set by down, yards to first, score, whatever you set in your AI... Offense is situational, defense is responsive.

You just have to set your AI up for the score.

Set it where if you have the lead by 28 points or whatever it is you want that you pass 75% and run 25%.

In your AI it says "score between" so set it for 28-100 and to pass 75% and run 25% or whatever you want. The 28-100 means if you are leading by 28 to 100 points that the AI you set up which is to pass more will kick in. You just have to make sure that setting is at the top as the AI reads from top to bottom. Even though its at top it wont be used unless your ahead by the amount of points you designate.

Just have to know how the AI works and once you do you can do just about anything

I'm pretty sure that you can check the "always use my AI" box and the game should continue to use the AI and not go into coast mode. Only thing is you have to have your AI set up very specific and make sure you have the score difference set at 999. We have 2 different offense AI's, one is very technical and we check that (use my exact AI) and the coast doesn't really kick in

when you set a qb tactics to favor long does it mean that he is going to favor the longest route?

Can auto-adjust option override your playbook? As I have no running plays from single back formation, in today's peewee game offense tried that for several times. Auto-adjust is at 25%.

And yes, I have double checked the playbook.

If advanced AI says "random run" or "random formation", is it supposed to pick one from the active playbook? I always thought this would be the case.

Edit. Just noticed that as I have only one playbook in the list, I always thought that it will be used. So I had forgotten to mark it as an "active". Quess that's the reason? If none is marked as active, the sim uses full default playbook?

Can someone explain why this might have happened? My FG range is set at 46 and my AI is set for 100% punt based on field position and down and distance for this play. However, my Kicker attempted a 52 yarder. I have a trailing Input to attempt FG's when near range, but they did not apply in this situation because we were winning and not near the end of the quarter. I went into the AI tester after the game and the only matched output was for 100% punt.

10:01 4th & 7 OPP 35 52 yd field goal attempted by Me Kick Ball Hard, missed

Ani ideas?

GLB being GLB.

I have noticed quirks that can't be explained, like a 2 minute offense that had 5 outputs, equally assigned, that runs the same play four times in a row. Or running in situations that there are no outputs for running.

Yeah I've had that happen before too. Had like 6 screens once in just a quarter when it was only set to 6% on first and ten.

Is there an OC private forum since I know there is a DC private forum.

I had my AI set up to only choose between 3 passes on 1st down in the 1st quarter. All 3 were to the TE. 1st play of the game, I threw a pass at the TE (as expected). Every other time I was on 1st down in the 1st quarter, it either threw it to a WR or ran it, neither of which were in the AI at all for 1st quarter, 1st down. I had auto-adjust on 20. After the game, I went back to the tester and every situation I had in the game I plugged into the tester. Every output for the 1st quarter was one of the 3 passing plays I had set to the TE. So....why didn't the game follow the AI, even after the tester confirmed it should have?

I'm beginning to think that you either have to have "follow my AI exactly" checked, or have auto-adjust set to 0, if not both.

Any help?

auto-adjust kinda "learns" what works during the game and if TE passes has not worked before I would think it does choose those plays. or maybe the te is not getting open.

What about the Singleback big formation ? there are two TE in that one, you are bound to get a TE pass there

Also the TE pass play means that is the pass play selected and will get the 1st look. It doesn't mean he will get the ball if he is covered your QB should try to find a different receiver

Is there a way to copy an AI from one team to another without having to manually put every single scenario in?

Never mind. I got the firebug script and got it done.

Well the deal is I see a really big weakness in a teams defense I OC for. The play that I want to run is in the TE Drive (Shotgun). How do I set that play up in the outputs? Like for the primary reciever, I want them to throw it to the WR but should I put in TE for primary reciever? I never really use this play but think it can work and dont want to screw this up. Thanks
