I have my offensive and defensive AI's set-up and I set my auto-adjust set to 60%. If things are going badly and the A-A kicks in, does it run plays from my AIs or just random playbook plays? Also, if I set-up plays using formations that are not currently in the playbook, does it actually run them or does it skip them?

I was wondering how much of a penalty would it be having a WR play on a TE spot. This only pertains to TE's actually going out for a pass.

For Example:

If you noticed whose at TE. I was wondering if the mismatch is more beneficial than the penalty. Appreciate any good information. Mahalo's

In that particular play (Strong I Cross UP) it has very little relevance, as it seems that the TE is the 3-4th option. I've actually never see the QB throw to the TE from that formation, its about 65% WR 1, 30 % WR2, 5% HB,(these aren't hard stats just personal observation, from a play I do actually spot call). There are other formations you can spot call TE specific plays where having a faster/agile receiver matched up against a LB could have very good results. Use the TE Advanced depth chart, list the receiver as TE2, and have him play default on all passing plays, and have your normal balanced/blocking TE listed as TE1 and have him default on rushing downs.

But another thing to remember, that against cover 0/cover 1 with a non-blitzing SS/LOLB your TE will likely be double covered.

Maybe someone can clear this up for me once and for all
If at the basic tactic screen I have set lets say 90/10 run/pass
but in my AI I have mostly pass play outputs how does it handle it?
I mean for the sake of an example lets say you had the 90/10 run/pass
and then had just 1 input that matches downs 1 to 4 any yards any position
etc in my O AI and that had 2 outputs:
20% run HB outside
80% pass long WR

what would you guys expect the play distribution to be for the game?

Also in blowouts i frequently dont want to run the ball as much as it does
but it seems the engine wants to run regardless of my AI.

Thanks everyone.

Your basic settings are overridden by your advanced AI settings if you have one for that scenario. But I do agree that when you go into coast mode when you are up big that you wind up with more rushing attempts. Not sure how to do that except set up your AI even more in favor of passing or setting up more inputs for later in the game like 3rd or 4th quarter inputs.

You just have to set your AI up for the score.

Set it where if you have the lead by 28 points or whatever it is you want that you pass 75% and run 25%.

In your AI it says "score between" so set it for 28-100 and to pass 75% and run 25% or whatever you want. The 28-100 means if you are leading by 28 to 100 points that the AI you set up which is to pass more will kick in. You just have to make sure that setting is at the top as the AI reads from top to bottom. Even though its at top it wont be used unless your ahead by the amount of points you designate.

Just have to know how the AI works and once you do you can do just about anything

When you choose play type Goal Line apparently you don't have to specify the formation and only Big I is available now anyway. There is only one play to the FB, the FB Dive. For HBs there are two plays HB Sting and HB Off Tackle. How do you set the AI to run the OT vs. the Sting? Or do you just set the output to rusher = HB and you don't have control over it?

If you only ever want to run the OT over the sting, you could remove the sting from your playbook. And then set rusher = HB.

Otherwise there seems to be no way to choose which of the 2 HB runs it will do.

None of the goal line plays are in the playbook. So I guess you just take your chances on which it will call.

Is there a way to set it that if say the defense has 6 dbs on the field it will call a run from whatever formation i am in?
