he wants Palookas to cut it out

Looks like special teams made the difference today. Our punter, our kicker, our returner, and our STOP-gunners all out-performed yours across the board. As a result, our average starting position was 12 yards better than yours, and with both teams getting 12 full possessions, that was basically 144 "hidden" yards for us, more than what you outgained us by on offense. It's all part of the game, so it counts!
Good point, but fuck I thought we had you. LOL

probably about the Palookas "hidden" yds in ST. I think is right, Novus was lucky again.

Is this in response to my post about STs making the difference in our game with War Hammer, or is this about us being an all-running team? I need to know which particular fallacy I'm responding to. Thanks!

I mean, sure, there's some luck involved in every GLB game, but that cuts both ways... sometimes it helps ya, sometimes it hurts ya. But on Special Teams, I can definitely tell you, we didn't do anything that every other team and player in GLB can't also do too. And there's definitely more we could do on Special Teams that I just don't bother to do because my time for this game is limited.
But offense, defense, and special teams all feed into each other, and they all contribute to winning or losing. If Team A ignores STs and Team B puts some effort into STs, and that effort makes the difference in Team B winning, that's not "abusing the flaws in the sim." That's "Team A needs to fix their STs."
I can also tell you, our efforts on STs generally don't make a difference either way. We win most games with our defense. My offense sucks in most of our games, quite frankly. But because our offense is somewhat unique, everyone thinks that's our special sauce. Spoiler alert: it's not.

Teasing you man, didn't even watch the game. Was surprised by the score but don't know what happened.
EDIT: I'll surely watch the game before we face you again!

We abusing flaws in the sim lol? We are gonna run the ball. Stop us. It's not like it's a huge surprise at this point.

Well, for the PB-Athens game, it was the turnovers, but in the PB-Hammer game, it was STs. And I'm sure you'll watch both games.

Yep, exactly.
And it's not like we're an unstoppable juggernaut on offense. But you'd better build your dots right, you'd better scout us properly, and you'd better use a defensive gameplan that's tailored to stop an all-running O. Teams that do that hold us to 13 points and give themselves a chance to win -- if they can score 14 on our D. Teams that don't do that give up 40 points and then whine that we're abusing flaws in the sim.
No, we're not. You tried to half-ass your way to victory and failed. Try half-assing things in WL against normal offenses and you'll fail too. If you can't figure out how to beat us, you have zero business thinking you're good at GLB. It's not rocket surgery.
