Game of the Week: VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY (24) v.
Free the Weed (20): Usually, BLACK ARMY
(QB) Gun Slinger (owned by rawdawgg88) exudes confidence. But at the 12:00 minute mark of the 4th quarter of this game, (QB) Gun Slinger was a ball of frayed nerves. (QB) Gun Slinger had been awful for most of the second half of this close game against Free the Weed. In the third quarter of the game, (QB) Gun Slinger was intercepted twice and early in the 4th quarter failed to move the ball out of the shadows of his own goal post setting up a punt return touchdown by Free the Weed to give Free the Weed a 20-17 lead. On the next possession, (QB) Gun Slinger's eyes glazed over as he looked at the playbook with VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY assistant offensive coordinator, zz man. "Hey!" shouted zz man. "Act like you have been here before" said zz man as he placed a reassuring hand on the shoulder of (QB) Gun Slinger. The losing VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY offense took the field and huddled while the ball was spotted at their own 41 yard line. (QB) Gun Slinger looked around the huddle and saw confidence in the eyes of his teammates. "Coach has scripted three passes in a row, he wants to force the defense to back off the line of scrimmage" said (QB) Gun Slinger as he smiled at the other guys in the huddle. Over the next, six and half minutes, (QB) Gun Slinger engineered a masterful offensive drive punctuated by a touchdown to give the VOLGOGRAD BLACK ARMY a 24-20 lead that they never relinquished.
Offensive Player of the Week: (HB) Jamal Harrison -owned by Micheal Hobbs: American Muscle is one of the most storied teams in University Elite #1 and were the winners of the Prep League Season 67 Tournament. The American Muscle offense has performed uncharacteristically sluggish so far this season. But, nothing helps get an offense back on track like seeing Leandrinhos WOOOWOOOOWW V8 on the schedule as your opponent this week. American Muscle took full advantage of their favorable matchup and pounded (HB) Jamal Harrison for 234 rushing yards, 23 receiving yards and 5 rushing touchdowns.
Defensive Player of the Week: (DE) Black Friday -owned by armadafalls: Last season, the Universal Studios Monsters lost only one game in Prep Competitive League #1. In their sole match up last season, Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts beat the Monsters by a score of 16-14 while orangesdcd was off on vacation on a boat in Lake Erie. When orangesdcd returned from vacation, her husband, armadafalls, was furious about the damage done by DavyJonesLocker to the visiting owner's suite in Universal Studios Stadium when DavyJonesLocker celebrated his victory long into the night. This season, armadafalls was determined to avoid the enormous mess and costly damages to the visiting owner's suite that DavyJonesLocker caused in last season's game. Armadafalls had all of the furniture and furnishings removed from the visiting owner's suite in Universal Studios Stadium before today's home game against the Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts. Armadafalls gave detailed instructions to the stadium staff that no refreshments or food was to be delivered to the visiting owner's suite for today's game. Just to be sure that there was no music or other entertainment, Armadafalls cut the electricity to the visiting owner's suite for today's game. Shortly before kickoff, armadafalls walked the sidelines of his stadium and watched his Monsters warm up for their home game. Armadafalls grinned devilishly as he imaged the shocked look on DavyJonesLocker's face as Davy and his entourage arrived at the visiting owner's suite for today's game. Armadafalls looked up at the glass window of the visiting owner's suite and saw no movement behind the window. "They must be so pissed" joyfully thought armadafalls as he extended his middle finger towards the visiting side of his stadium. After kickoff, armadafalls made his way up to his home team owner's suite. Armadafalls was really looking forward to today's game, he had invited a lot of celebrities and had his suite stocked with expensive champagne and gourmet food. As armadafalls approached his owner's suite, he could hear the sounds of raucous partying. Armadafalls grabbed the door handle and tried to turn it, but the door was locked. Armadafalls tried his key, but somebody had jammed a key into the lock and broke it off. Armadafalls banged on the door to his own suite, but nobody answered. Desperately, armadafalls pushed his ear up to the door and listened. A look of abject horror spread across armadafalls' face as heard the voice of DavyJonesLocker inside the owner's suite partying and laughing and enjoying armadafalls' food and drink. Enraged, armadafalls banged on the door to his own suite, but the music was so loud that nobody could hear him...or maybe they could hear him and were just ignoring him. Dejectedly, armadafalls walked all the way around to the other side of his stadium and entered the visiting owner's suite and stood alone in the vacant room. As armadafalls looked across the field at the party paid for by him that DavyJonesLocker was now enjoying, he seethed with rage. DavyJonesLocker had his arm around one of Hollywood's hottest young actresses (a guest invited by armadafalls to his suite) and was drinking armadafalls' champagne straight from the bottle. As DavyJonesLocker looked across Universal Studios Stadium at the lonely figure of armadafalls standing in the empty and dark visiting owner's suite Davy raised his arm and smugly waved. Ultimately, while his team won the rematch against Davy Jones' Locker Pirate Ghosts, armadafalls could not help but feel that, personally, DavyJonesLocker had managed to get the best of him once again. In the game (DE) Black Friday had 4 sacks 1 hurry and 2 reverse pancakes.
Special Teams Player of the Week: (HB) Rasheed Dukes -owned by h1bvisa: The only visiting Eastern Conference teams to win this week were the BLACK ARMY and Hammer Time. In what had been a tight game between Hammer Time and the Rhode Island Red Wolves, late in the third quarter, (HB) Rasheed Dukes scored this punt return touchdown to move Hammer Time out of the Red Wolves' reach:
