Seems like if support didnt have a problem releasing me, why the problem with everyone else getting released asap if wanted by both sides?

Support has enough problems dealing with other issues. You add hundreds of I need to be released PMs to deal with and you can see how things would get backed up.

If nothing else, i say kill it during off-season and preseason.

If you sign a guy and then decide to re-make him or find someone else you have to wait nearly a week to cut him. that sucks.

I am finding this to be a problem as well.

I had my first experience of too many players signing the other day. Now I have 7 CBs and one of them accidentally signed.

I'm near my roster limit, so the extra player that I do need cannot sign.

It would actually be pretty cool to have a higher or no roster limit during the offseason and then have it scale down during the preseason like the NFL. It could by 64 during offseason then tick down by 1 each day from -9 to 0. Like when a real life team goes into training camp (offseason) with a much larger roster than they'll actually end up with.

Realizing that might be too complicated for most folks, just one two steps would be good, 64 during offseason, 59 by day -5 and 55 by day 0. Would add an entirely new dynamic to recruiting strategies, give owners a few days to assess whether the agent is active and contributes positively in the forums.

There could even be a waiver wire type thing to claim players released after being signed for "camp" or even could allow players to "not report for camp" if they immediately realize they made a mistake in signing.

This touches on a whole bunch of NGTH.

-1 to this, but +1 to OP
