The biggest thing i wonder about is with equiptment bieng free that takes alot out of recruiting. If a player needs money for upgrades and a team will pay for them that typically goes a long way in recruiting players. Now money has almost no value to the players from what i can tell outside of training.

So team money will be used to pay to raise team morale? Why do we need to buy morale if we are winning or at the very least running about 50/50 win/lose.Will winning games boost morale or is that also gone and will we still use team money for trades or all those gone now.I have heard it said to make a trade we need player for player trades -Why make a change to this system where it seems to me will cripple teams more then help??

I've owned my team since season 5 and been playing since season 1. these changes seem pretty drastic to me. some I like some i dont and some i dont understand. I do enjoy playing this game alot and have invested alot of money into the game over the past 15 seasons. I do think I'm going to wait on spending any more cash on this game to see what happens and how it changes the game. I have noticed over the past few seasons that it seems like there are less and less players for recruiting and more and more teams. I also dont like the fact that you can spend 8,9,10 seasons building a player and just when they are ready to rock at the pro levels they get nerfed and you have to retired them.

I think the biggest thing that GLB needs to do is make it funner to build players. Right now the way it is you have to build your player according to a guide for him to be any good at the higher levels. you can still build him how you want but once they get up there they are almost worthless. They way its set up now every DT will be built almost exactly the same, every WR will be built exactly the same, every CB will be built exactly the same. Takes alot of fun out of it for the guys who just want to build players. If you want your guy stronger then add strength, faster add speed, thats how it should be in my opinion. I dont think the problem with keeping interest in the game is at the team owner level, i think its at the player owner and build level. With all of the changes in the past it has ran a bunch of people away there is no doubt about that. But with the way its set up now with new people coming in there just isnt alot to keep thier interest in the game much past level 20 of that players build.

I have so much fake money. Like I have said nurmoius times. Change for the Sake of change doesnt work. And do fix something that is not broke.

Can we just put a Texas Hold em table down in the parking garage and have the players on there off days run it and what we make .We can keep in a super secret fund .

I truly don't see this as making things better but I don't own it nor do I run this part of the game.I do know what I am in control and what I do own and run and tbh some things are most likely going to change for me as a result of my displeasure of all the bad I foresee coming.I guess since the system didn't seem that broken to me some changes to fix would of been nice but there just is way to much at once to learn and know to be a good team and win its going to take 2 seasons to make it work.Plus that's if they don't change something all over again and mess me or us up and we will have to restart over again.
I guess if we were gonna drop down a league or two now is the time as we are gonna lose our money and parts of the stadium and if we own less stadium we will pay less in it falling down on us.GLB is trying to remove money from being so important but it will still have a very important part but it will just be hidden more from this .rant!!!rant !!!! rant!!!!

Dont worry, with all the teams beeing sold after this season, there will be plenty of free agents around. I cant see anyone beeing more excited beeing a teamowner after all this stuff beeing added too

I didn't read through the entire thread, so sorry if this is a repeat, but if we don't want to deal with the new financial system, is there a mechanism to convert a regular team to a casual or super-casual team after this season?

By law you will have to refund those their money that request it since this isn't the product that they paid for.

If you don't want all the unneeded fluff you would have to start anew in the Super Casual League as a LVL 1 team according to Catch22.

You don't think there's a single jurisdiction where this would be required? Really? Or if things really go south here, there isn't a state/provincial consumer affairs watchdog that wouldn't be interested in the case?

Hell, in the Province of Quebec, consumer protection class action lawsuits are an industry unto themselves, with large numbers of people working full time looking for opportunities to sue...its an environment where litigation is even easier than in most of the US.

Anyone can sue for any reason. Whether you win or lose is an entirely different matter. The most anyone has spent on here over the past several years is what, 20K? Let's be generous and say 25K over 2.5 years. They get flex returned at 70%, so of that 25K, they might still have say 15K worth of flex still, meaning they spent 10K. Over 2.5 years, did they use the product and get enjoyment out of the game? Was there a promise that the game would not change in the future (I think that's fairly strongly implied in the fact that its "Beta").

So for that loss of 10K, how much would it cost to sue? How much would you have to pay an attorney $100+ an hour to file the case? Really, what are you looking to win here and what are your chances of winning? What attorney is going to take this case and really see a chance of winning?

I don't see it myself, but my practice isn't consumer protection either.
