Adjustment to "schedule" tab with an additional tab for "tournament games" imo (or just put them in a diff color or italicized or something...it is cool having them right on the main team page)

Pretty much what I was going for.

The only thing with allowing the owner to set the seeds allows the owner to set things that way he wants it which could allow a team an easier road to the championship. Could be controversial

The tournaments would be the same as a PF or a player. you simply go to "flex points" and buy a tournament. I would also say you allow the ability to adjust the number of teams (even after you bought it). As this could change season to season.

It shouldn't be hard to code either I would think. A template of brackets, a host who sends out the invites. And as players accept they get schedules as friendlies (however the host assigns them).

BTW Staz, isn't that trophy a little crooked?

The tourney coordinators generally set seeds as they see fit anyways.

That is a problem yes... but I'm sure people would just not play controversial tourneys. Otherwise you could have two options. Host sets it or allow GLB to set it according to average points.

But if they have there own team in the tournament, you could just rig the whole thing.

Should single elimination cost less than double and triple elimination? I have seen all three types of tourneys in GLB tbh. How would that work?

Good question.

I'd say tourneys cost the same throughout. The difference between single/double/triple is merely a configurable option. So you'd have...

1) Number of teams
2) Who sets the tourney (GLB or Host)
3) Elimination Method
4) Trophy
...

Not sure what else off the top of my head

Meh. No different than it is now. People know which tournaments are legit.

Hazy's / addicts tourney, etc.

Definitely could be a possibility. Perhaps turn the "friendly" area of a team page into a box with tabs. Friendlies and any tournaments this team is in?

I personally believe that the purchase of the tournament should be extremely cheap. As it stands, those who run tournaments do it at no financial cost. Formalizing the process might necessitate a price, but it should be very small. We would want to encourage the use of official brackets and pages by the best current tournaments, and a prohibitive cost would not help them and would hurt the prizes.

Or maybe under the owner's note. "Tournaments Entered" then it would link the the tournament page

Well it might take a while for the "legit" tournaments to start up, and then its just the same thing as it is now. Just a couple of real tournaments.

I also think that the FP's cost for the teams to get into the tournament should be put into a pot to be given to the top 3 finishers in the tournament. It owner would choose how the flex gets split.
