Find where I said that the home team will always win.

Obviously thats not the case, but if you go back and look at some of the teams with real home field advantages, they generally have a better record at home than they do away (some exceptions) Whether it be Quest Field and the 12th man, Indy/Min/Atl/St.L in their loud domes, Lambeau in the snow, or Heinz Field with the whipping winds. Denver with the high altitude (one of the biggest homefield advantages in sports) You can't ignore that its there, and coming up with excuses like the above one is just arguing for the sake of arguing.

Stupid

Please enlighten us with your wisdom of how the most common equalizer in sports is 'stupid'. Please let us know how horrible teams upset #1 seeds every year on their home turf......since its 'stupid'.HFA is like the 12th man. Right now GLB is like playing every game on neutral turf. Name a sport that plays every game on neutral territory.

"Horrible" teams don't upset #1 teams "every year on their home turf".

This is the one "sport" where builds are assigned a statiscal number that directly impacts the outcome of the game. Some of us would prefer that "random" events (i.e. those not directly related to the quality of the build) be kept to a minimum.

A neutral field is the ONLY kind that ensures build-quality is matching up against build-quality.

We have home and away games, and that effects ticket sales and concessions, why not have a home field advantage, there has to be a reason to have great stadiums other than ticket and concession sales. This idea gives home teams a pump up, and road teams a bit of a decrease.

And UNDERMINES the importance of builds.

can this game just stay about builds and tactics instead of being about who got to play the good teams at home?

That means that the builds are being used to determine the outcome--not something stupidly random like which team faced a better team while playing at home.

I have always liked the idea of homefield advantage. I'm not sure how much of an impact it should have, but there does need to be some type of advantage to being at home.

You could get a home field advantage with the VA hometown hero

man, this is a EPIC, but I agreed that ALL championship games should be on "neutral" turf, aka none of the Homefield adventage for these types of games.

not only home field advantage, but away field disadvantage needs to be added. makin clutch catches and throws is pretty hard when 20000 people are screaming at you.

should add this to OP imo

i think that the stadium shoud play in somehow, 20,000 screaming fans is alot different then 12,000 and a half empty stadium

Lets get this to EPIC Suggestions. It's almost at 100 replies

I see how people don't want anything other than builds to determine the game. But the same people have to admit, that other than the top 2 or 3 teams every year, the other 13-14 teams have no excitement factor other than maybe beating up on a computer team, you have to add the chance,...small as it may be, to at least have a close game against better teams based on HFA.

Some act like this is going to change GLB as we know it. A small boost to confidence, morale, and stamina isn't going to catapult the 1-14 to prominence against the division leader...but in a closely ranked game, maybe if can mean the difference, which home turf SHOULD. Plus, you know it always evens out in the end...for every time you get screwed by HFA, it will also save you.

agreed. have you ever been at the michigan wolverines stadium? sure its big, but since its built in a whole, all the noise goes straight up, and doesnt effect the players at all, as if nobody was there. same should go with that.
