But it also effects the one paying for the forum. I didnt know i would not be able to have banned people posting in my forum and now i feel punished for a banning someone else took from what i thought was just the public forums, since they have access to the team forums.

So...if the person does not pay their internet bill, and therefore cannot get on the internet, do you feel that their internet service provider is punishing you?

Please don't insult the intelligence of the other posters with lame analogies. Lets keep the discussion real and not resort to bad lawyering to try and score semantic points. This analogy isweak.

What if your lame person had a friend who did pay his internet bills. Would it be right for the ISP to forbid the non paying customer from riding his skateboard to his friends house to use the internet?

If a person buys his own PF then he should be able to choose who gets to post there regardless of whether that person is permabanned from the GLB forums or not. It's not hurting anyone and it's the person who bought its decision.

False, by continuing to break the rules on the Goal Line Blitz forums....the user has forfeited their right to ANY of the forums. Be it private or not.

Still being able to use team forums is a bonus.

So you feel that a forum ban is some sort of punishment, or some sort of way to get even with the bad user, or some sort of way to impose suffering on the bad user?

I feel the forum ban is a way to police the public forums and protect the rest of us from having to sort through their trouble making.

Edit to add, not all perma bans are from rule breaking. Some are just from pissing off the wrong guy who can do what he wants because he is above the rules.

And team forums are directly a part of GLB as a game, so this makes sense.

A) they connot continue to break the rules as they are not allowed to be in the public ones.

B) Contradiction much? They forfeit their right to ANY forum and then you explicitly recognize their access to the team forum. So clearly they are not forfeiting their right to all the forums.

It is a punishment. It's both, this is why Law-breakers are sentenced to prison. In order to keep them out of the public AND to punish.

When you get forum banned it is a punishment for repeatedly breaking rules.

They are no more a part of the actual game than a defensive coordinator forum is. In real football, a coach talks to his players (team forum) and he trades film and ideas with other coaches (private forum)

Actually
#1) I said it was a bonus tbh. So therefore I explicitly recognized that they are given access even though they have forfeited access

#2) Swag then stated that in fact team forums are part of the game, which I agree. So therefore they should be able to use them.

This is what Pms are for. You can still trade film and ideas.

Denied.

GLB is not real life, and going to prison requires a great deal of effort on the part of the government. In GLB, you can perma banned for sending "Fuck You" in a PM. Even though their is not one rule in the TOS about getting forum banned for improper PMs

But, what if you invite banned hackers in orer to launch a full-scale attack against the vastly empire of Bort's and DD. Then who is to blame for the fall of GLB?

OK, that's what I was thinking of.

No im just referring to the forum banned folk. So really, how does this make sense. The true banned can stay in their non-glb hell as far as im concerned.

OK, well, I still think that's part of the punishment unless B&D say otherwise.

So you admit that the team forum isnt really a needed part of the game so long as they have PM access still? I mean please at least make some sort of attempt at consistency here.
