+1 to the OP and I think the SP on CE should be changeable.

Yeah, I blew 270 FP when I spread my custom over 3 areas and added the SA tree at L8 while still in D-League. Realized my mistake, caught it, paid the 270 FP price. I support this; I can't see any point in unnecessarily punishing someone for a stupid mistake when it didn't cause any problems. Give 'em the FP back.

Definitely for the ability to change the custom equipment around. Maybe a certain amount of times per season or just freely.
Here's why:
1) People who buy customs are paying, locking them in on what they choose when they could regret the decision is just not too nice. I like to think Bort is super nice cause I do think he is.
2) People, myself included, sometimes don't buy customs because they don't know where to put them. Why spend the cash if I'm not sure its going to help much, better to wait (which can mean never buying) or just buy the standard and not get the SA tree boost (300 flex point sale lost).
3) With the game changing every season its bad enough that our player builds are locked in stone. Having the editable custom would be a huge advantage in adapting to changes on the fly and would actually make purchasing them a lot more appealing.

I don't think you should be allowed to get your FP back from CE , but I do believe it would be nice if you were allowed to relocate the points though . As someone above mentioned this game changes every season (mostly for good) , but with the constant changes someone could get stuck with their CE put on something that doesn't really matter anymore . Therefore I would find it fair if you were allowed to relocate your 6+ bonus once every preseason/start of every season .
And with the normal equipment I can't see what it would hurt if you were allowed to relocate if you haven't had it equipped yet . Just like if you've kept the price tag on a shirt you can go back to the shop and change it (normally) .

This would be avoided if you give the new signees time to read over the forums and guides before throwing "CREATE A PLAYER" at them.

I'm still against the idea of a full refund, but re-assigning points in CE seems better.
The only downside I can see is that it is really not necessary, and time spent by Bort coding this could be spent better elsewhere. I appreciate that the coding is not too bad, but to put in the stipulation that this could only be done before it was equipped and used in a game might take a couple of hours.
I'd still prefer a message that pops up when you buy CE that says:
"Are you REALLY SURE you want to spend flex points on these precise attributes? If you have any doubt at all, you should really ASK IN THE FORUMS, if what you are doing seems correct before making this purchase, as you can only sell it back for 70% of the cost."
There could even be a link to a forum post which details exactly what you should be doing when you are looking to buy CE.
Simpler ... and effective. Anyone who ignores such a message and messes up would have to deal with it. There is a price for stupidity!
