Just so new people don't lose their flex cuz they made a mistake.

EDIT and normal EQ maybe too. say you press the wrong button (like catching for your QB you should be able to get 100% back and only sell that one upgrade.

some thoughts

Okay, how about a compromise since it could be an exploit as mandyross pointed out. Instead of the full refund before wearing it, how about the ability to re-assign the points if you haven't equipped it? (or can that already be done?)

I'm glad this thread made Epic, and I fully agree with being able to sell back for a full refund (or at least change points in) CE before it's ever used in a game, I disagree with someone who wanted to let people move points around in it during a season.

It comes back to scouting, and while this is not the same as a respec which I'm against completely and fully, no one can be allowed to reinvent themselves any more than boosting and leveling allows during a season.

I'd be open to the idea of, in addition to letting CE points be moved around freely before an item has been used, allowing CE points to be moved around freely in the offseason as well.

But do it during the season, and it at least has to have the current cost that discourages it.

If it's never equipped? Don't see why not. I made a crappy one for my QB that I re-did and lost 270 flex, but I don't mind getting penalized when I screw up.

I wish new people(i refuse to call someone "noob") would take the time to read up on faqs before they jump the gun and buy CE, but it can't be helped.

I would say it wouldn't be a bad idea if you gave a 2 day grace period. Not just for new people who made mistakes but even for some veterans who experimented with a build and found it not to his liking.

No more than 2 days though(which is 1 game)

As long as it hasn't been used in a game, I say 100% refund.

Once it's been equipped for a game, then the refund drops to the 70% range.

Not just custom equipment, normal equipment upgrades should get a 100% refund if not used in a game either. Mistakes are made and when made at the level 32 level it is very expensive. They might have to allow us to sell back only the upgrade though as the rest of the equipment has been used in games already.
