Can't believe this made it to page 3 considering all the stuff on page 1.

This may be the best respec post I have seen. If you combined this with flames idea, this game has great potential again

Great write up, love all the ideas for the Soft Caps and the SA's. I'd even be willing to retire all my players to start over again.

I totally agree with the soft cap change based on height/weight. It doesn't make sense that a 300 pounder and a 170 pounder could possibly have the same strength, speed, stamina, etc. The body frames would be too different...

The point of these suggestions is to allow our players to become deeper and more diverse within the current parameters of the GLB system and without a mass re-roll.
I guess it does include some slight degree of re-specification, but certainly nothing near completely hitting the reset button.

Alright, so if this was to be applied to current as well as yet-to-be-created players:
- Set of bi-modals: applied at implementation
- Soft-cap change: no retroactive penalty (players would end up with negative SPs)
- SA tree customization: for a tree-for-tree switch could receive the same values along each one of the tree (e.g. 1-2-4-1-1 would be carried over from Power Back to Possession Receiver), or those SAs could be returned and only spent on that tree. SA-for-SA switches would be more complicated, and I don't have an idea for that now.
Things in the OP stated to take place "at time of creation" would take place in between implementation and Day 0 of that season; i.e., this wouldn't be a standing offer. It's similar to the 7 TP all players receive at creation and were given when Bort changed the training system after season 4.

...and I edited the OP to reflect the prospective changes at implementation to clarify the effect on currently-existing players.

My favorite part of this suggestion is the one regarding the soft-cap vs. position. I love that!

tbh, it just seems like it makes things too complicated.
Some parts of it are, yeah, like the first one. The second one is pretty simple; you can tell when you start having to put 2 SPs in. SA switching, well, it seems fairly simple to me.
There are already FAQs about the current player attributes and skills. I don't think it would be tremendously difficult to simplify it in a one-page PDF.
