No one here wants it to be changed regularly. But some very occasional upkeep would be nice.

The league stat pages have been broken for a year, which is no doubt just some error in a database somewhere, yet it hasn't been fixed as an example.

If you are at part A you really shouldn't be too worried.

If you are at part B it obviously means there are very few people mad that the game gets shut down as everyone has already left anyways.

I see it more as a self-fulfilling prophecy. Game ends up shutting down because too many people believe the game will be shutting down.

There are lots of people stating in threads that they won't purchase more flex because they don't believe the game will be around long enough for them to spend it on this game. If the game's not around long enough for them to spend their flex it will be because so many people don't believe the game will be around long enough to spend their flex.

I'm not one of those people who plans to quit building dots and playing the game -- because I have a lot of flex to spend, I enjoy this game, and why not keep playing.

what have you enjoyed about the game in the last 2 years. the majority of the time my crop of players where in plateau the competition was so poor it wasn't even worth paying attention to individual games. Id check in at the playoffs and then just hope that my 3 year old AI would do well. We made it to WL 3 times. WL is the only place where you have to try. It was like 2 years of ignoring another league contraction before it finally happened. How will 2 years of minor play be enjoyable when interest continues to wain. The game didnt have to be stagnant, but thats what they wanted.

i find it hard to believe that people aren't spending flex because they are afraid of a shut down. The game isn't going anywhere. Granted as i say that people also believe in zombie apocalypses, Y2K, the rapture, the illuminati, etc...

Well, yeah, that's what a lot of people wanted. Or, "changes" as long as it didn't impact their team.

It got to a point where making any significant changes angered more people than it satisfied. If the end result is a wash, may as well spend the time and effort working on something else.

And it's still at that point, judging from people's inability to come to a consensus on what is acceptable for "instadots".

Do anything and it will be better than what we have now. Fuck the consensus. Though honestly if you are gonna make peeps drop $100 at once for an insta-QB that is unlikely to be optimal for GLB making moneyz.

p sure glb1 has way more dots than glb2, considering glb2 doesn't even have any.

I think this statement hints at the animosity and resentment the game's owners sometimes demonstrate toward its users here at GLB, and why it feels more like punishment than neglect that the game has been left to languish.

It's a shame, really, because I think a lot of those really vocal, really angry people who leadership tried to cater to are long gone now. What we have left is a core of people who are thirsty and begging for drops of water while suggesting tweaks and improvements instead of demanding the game be bent to their will and vision. And now we can understand why those please fall on completely deaf ears.

Seems that way, from the general uplifting and interesting topics in GLB Main. All the discussions about the game and how much they're enjoying it. Most of the bitter posters seem to have moved on.

By a lot of people you mean like 5? Because that is about the count I got of people who think the game possibly could shut down and they are afraid to waste the money on flex.
