Ya they happen every time I throw a pass under 10 yards that isn't a screen.

I bitched about test QBs not throwing crossing routes even when WRs had a dot-length on the defender.

Ya was one of my main fits as well. Oh well...the offensive strategy is never going to change under these current settings. You can keep making things worse in different areas but the result still remains the same due to all the randomness in bad passes and inability to catch short curl routes and such.

Hey is this where we post links of short passes?

This is all from one game against a top WL defense:

There were some bad passes as well, and a few picks you can search them out for yourself.

Yes, sometimes QBs throw bad passes. But you can certainly run a respectable offense against both blitzing and coverage if you have dots with reasonable skill sets and a game plan that hangs together.

Let's be reasonable....

Supposed to post the bad passes. Which you had 8, 3 being on short passes. Even being reasonable you cant say the bad passes aren't out of control. Cause they are. Need to be just adjusted down the tinniest of margins.

Well, hmm...

I wouldn't strenuously disagree with the second statement at least.

Would ball hawk on the WR help turn some of those "bad passes" into catches

I notice our QB will throw a bad pass when being hurried and danger in the area, I almost consider it a throw away and prefer this than him trying to squeeze it in and tossing an INT

No we have tested that with this dot: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2490794
Even has the VAs, SAs, and vision/speed to go with it. It did nothing.

They blitzed a lot, sacked me 6 times, caused 18 hurries, and I had 8 bad throws, 3 of which were on short passes (by your count, I didn't check).

Also, there were a number of incompletions on short throws that weren't labeled "bad passes" but were just good defense.

Frankly, if heavy pass pressure were any less effective then DCs would be forced to drop 8 all game long.

Put yourself in the DC's shoes for a second and ask if you think heavy blitzing and pressure is currently "too effective" or is in fact "not effective enough" given the results above?

Is it too effective given how the short passing game currently works? Ya I think so.

Is it too effective given how short passing routes should work? No.

I DC more than I OC and I do think its "too effective". The sacks may not happen alot but the hurries is just insane. Esp when sometimes you see a defender get a hurry and it doesnt even look like he is close to the QB and is still being blocked well and it causes a bad throw. And its really not the hurries, im fine with the hurries, im just not fine with the amount of the effect a hurry can cause on a QB. Hell a hurry is damn near as good as a sack in this sim. Which is dumb.

I just want to know why QBs with more confidence throw MUCH more bad passes from hurries as opposed to QBs with conf in the 70s or low 80s
