Pretty sure LBs above could have covered him

My strawberry alice dot.
Premature death...Picked wrong archetype on creation, took me a few days to realize it, not enough cares to go back.
Figured i'd work with it----decided to call it a loss. And then a win.

lol catching
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1992932&playoffs=0 decided to jack up some catching , ultimately he did register more INTS than my other CB's , but allowed alot more receptions to be made, but 13 ints in 2 wl stints not bad.

LOT http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2003955

Terrible dot compared to my current ones, APD ruined him further and I gave up and just took a load of SAs to 10. Build horribly outdated now, but practically all LOTs of that era were shocking. Quite liked the high agility.

Also FU Homage.

I've been building a DE based largely upon yours. Thanks for the commentary and leaving the builds open

QB - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1982982&playoffs=0
Turn the Shoulder turned out not to be a worthwhile experiment. With the Scrambler VA he broke about 8-10% of sack tackles, which is decent, but rarely resulted in completions afterward. Without it he broke no sack tackles at all. I'm also still doubtful that fake chance actually does affect Pump Fakes, as they never seemed to fire frequently despite all the investment there. If I ever create another QB I think I might try a low confidence experiment.

I just did a low confidence experiment, but it was with a scramble archetype. It was a very good build against weak and average teams, but put on one that can generate a lot of pressure and his completion ratio dropped from the 60% range to 30% range. There weren't that many more "bad passes" under that pressure, but apparently the pass quality dropped enough that most any coverage was good against him.

pretty average CB http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2144683 bounced between pro and wl with the hounds

WR http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2029792 first WR i built to 79...decent as a pro WR but suffered from wasting training/sp on crap like Jumping and strength all things considered he was a dependable WR on a good Pro team for a long while

HH SS http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2198618&playoffs=0 probably would have been better on defense with Jackhammer and probably could have ignored jumping all together

A worthy successor to Jules Poopers, if not as dominating. The low tackling didn't hurt as much as you'd think, as he missed about the same percentage of tackles as my other DEs with much higher tackling and double up make tackle AEQ. Playing on wrap up did mean no fumbles on sacks, though. s30 wasn't a great final season as it seems like DEs with some speed are much better at reaching the quarterback nowadays. He became much more effective mid-career when I switched from power rushing to evasive and threw on some agility equipment to activate Technique Man.

DE - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1988925&playoffs=0
Mirror of the other build aside from having more equipment in agility to get Technique Man to fire against LTs. He wasn't as effective overall, which makes me wonder if that type of build simply works better on the strong side. These two reached unheard of strength for their day because in the old system you could get 3% from normal training attributes over 90 and I was willing to keep doing that until it rolled over several times.

I've not had dots in plateau in a couple of seasons so I'm a bit out of the loop. Is strength not as important for LEs as it had been previously believed?

I guess Bort was afraid it would be OP'd. Probably every sack would result in a fumble. Not that I'm happy about it, though.

What do you think about Protect? I know a lot of people have jumped off the Protect bandwagon.

lol? Having a flat bonus to speed, agility and blocking is always a bad thing... SO MANY BETTER O-linemen SA's to go for LT's.

Depends entirely on your scheme and what you want out of your DE's.
