QB - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1982982&playoffs=0
Turn the Shoulder turned out not to be a worthwhile experiment. With the Scrambler VA he broke about 8-10% of sack tackles, which is decent, but rarely resulted in completions afterward. Without it he broke no sack tackles at all. I'm also still doubtful that fake chance actually does affect Pump Fakes, as they never seemed to fire frequently despite all the investment there. If I ever create another QB I think I might try a low confidence experiment.

DE - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1988867&playoffs=0
A worthy successor to Jules Poopers, if not as dominating. The low tackling didn't hurt as much as you'd think, as he missed about the same percentage of tackles as my other DEs with much higher tackling and double up make tackle AEQ. Playing on wrap up did mean no fumbles on sacks, though. s30 wasn't a great final season as it seems like DEs with some speed are much better at reaching the quarterback nowadays. He became much more effective mid-career when I switched from power rushing to evasive and threw on some agility equipment to activate Technique Man.

Mirror of the other build aside from having more equipment in agility to get Technique Man to fire against LTs. He wasn't as effective overall, which makes me wonder if that type of build simply works better on the strong side. These two reached unheard of strength for their day because in the old system you could get 3% from normal training attributes over 90 and I was willing to keep doing that until it rolled over several times.

LB - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1989632&playoffs=0
Coverage build that became oddly less effective over time. I can't explain why he got 20+ PDs his first couple of seasons in the WL but only nineteen combined over the last two. It's extremely frustrating to me that even LBs built with high jumping and double deflect % suck so heinously in coverage. It wasn't even a pathing problem, as I've seen these dots be right on top of the receiver and yet consistently give up the reception. I wonder if the LB penalty to covering WRs was mistakenly applied to their coverage in general. Swat Ball would have helped some, but was so far down in the tree as to be an inefficient investment. I understand Bort's reluctance to change any of the SA trees, but good lord the LB ones are by far the worst.

Mirror build, and this one's numbers are even worse from playing predominantly at MLB. Coverage of HB & FB routes has always been and continues to be a joke.

CB - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1990875&playoffs=0
High strength experiment that did reasonably well in coverage when tasked with covering WRs as opposed to backs, but obviously the biggest impact came from using him as a special teams gunner. The amount of forced fumbles shows that you don't need a weighty player for that. His performance saw a pretty significant uptick when I moved those eight points from speed into strength. Also had some success as a blitzing corner, but would have been much better if Monster Hit applied to sacks. I'm not sure why it doesn't.

CB - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1998051&playoffs=0
My best cover corner and shows the benefits of very high jumping. I've been told that not having Superior Vision is crazy, yet he didn't seem to get faked any more often than the ones who do have it. SDC was probably a waste, but it's hard to turn down a +3 speed, +SDC piece in the store.

CB - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1998367&playoffs=0
Similar cover corner with more tackling instead of jumping. I don't know why he can get so many KLs with mediocre strength & tackling, plus he didn't miss nearly as many tackles as he should have on balanced. I moved his custom bonus from a second deflect piece to avoid fake this season without any noticeable impact on his deflect percentage, which makes you wonder about the usefulness of doubling up.

STOP - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2036633&playoffs=0
The low vision came from a theory that high vision causes STOP blockers to chase tacklers farther away instead of staying in front of the returner. I don't know if that's true, but it certainly didn't seem to hurt his effectiveness any. He didn't force many fumbles, but I'm amazed that he missed so few tackles despite playing on power tackling and having only 83 tackling and one piece of make tackle %.

STOP - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2036639&playoffs=0
Mirror build that somehow missed a hell of a lot more tackles. I guess it was where I played them, as I don't know what else could have caused the discrepancy. It couldn't be the minor difference in stamina, could it? Had I been paying more attention I would have shifted him to balanced tackling since he wasn't forcing many fumbles anyway.

I'm surprised at how bummed I am about killing them off, as I quite enjoyed watching some of them play and am oddly less enthused about my ones still in plateau. Oh well. RIP.

Jd, I'm sorry, but you can't expect TTS to work with only 64 agility :\

We have confirmation that it takes agility and carrying to work, and you have low on both of those, and no scrambler VA. I believe you should test it with a build more oriented towards it. My old QB got very good results, ranging from 20% to 35% per season. And several resulted in a completion (when he didn't simply tuck it and ran into a defender). I'll eventually share my new QB attempt when he gets his build rounded out, but he'll have attributes to back up the VA and SA...

Thanks for the CBs though, they helped me decide a bit about my current one...

Monster Hit does fire on sacks; I used to have a blitzing OLB that registered Monster Hits & Big Hits on sacks somewhat regularly. Your CB’s lack of weight/STR may factor into Monster Hit not firing as often.

Your results probably mean nothing given that they came on a team that played two CPUs and only had two other games where you didn't lose by 100+, thus kicking in the blowout penalty.

Monster Hit fired a lot for his other tackles, but I think it has been confirmed that Monster Hit and Big Hit are not allowed to fire against QBs.

I believe they don't work on sacks because it would make Big Sack even more worthless

Another coverage build that was in the WL the past season. Def seems tough to get an LB to be difficult to pass on
