A script makes it easier

How would you make a script that can translate competitiveness in the earlier seasons? Hell the sim itself couldn't generate competitive games back then lol

How hard is it to make a simple fix in the current HOF?
Removing the players in the HOF that are still playing would do wonders to the eyesore

Once the script filters out most of the junk the committee could then do some work to filter out the level of competition

How though? What factors would be used to give a script the ability to determine what would have been competitive?

Named players would be a nice 2nd step.

Bingo but 1st the HOF needs structure and we need a HOF Committee for that

and who would be in charge of that? Seriously TN I have no problem with you at all but why would me or anyone else trust you to do what was right in the decisions concerning who's players made the HoF or not. I am not trying to be disrespectful here but I would about guarantee if lets say one of your ILOF buddies had a player and I had a player at the same position. with roughly the same stats and a argument could be made for both players. then your friend will get the spot and my player would be left out in the cold. there is no completely fair way to make a real life HoF committee on GLB without it being biased.

I can say I agree with that point players that aren't retired shouldn't be on the list at all.

Use a Public GLB voting sytem to induct players each season based on a list of players the committee puts together.

you are completely right on this. hell now people will park players in the D-leagues just to cumulate stats and if the same player was in actual competitive leagues it wouldn't get a third of the same stats due to playing equal competition.

same scenerio you have a player and I have a player of the same position on the list both are comparable. so when people start voting you start going into forums and trying to drum up votes. while I sit back and feel my player is worthy and should get in based solely on the players stats. but I lose out to you because all your ILOF buddies voted for your player. so in this example we show how the voting process would be corupted. onto your next idea.

What I'm saying is this....
Example:
script filters out 100 of the top running backs in the game stats wise in rushing yards.
Take those 100 and go over which have the most awards and rings and reduce some more until you get say a top 5 at each position each season or every other season.
Like I said it needs structure 1st.
The current foundation is broken and has caved in
