Not a fan. Basically making STOP players too specialized.

Keep the options of D or O base builds, but don't combine them.

Stops are already good enough. They don't need perfect SA trees (which no other position has). You have extra SA's to help you choose the SA's you want.

EVERY position has 2 options for "specialized" build trees, are you new to GLB or what??

BTW, they don't play O or D, thus they are not "base builds" as you say.....

Wow, alot of know-it-alls don't get the point of this suggestion......

Imagine if one of the QB tree options was from a LB.......doesn't make much sense to have a pocket QB with snarl SA???

Same goes with Oline STOPS using pass protect SA tree......NO F'in difference!!

we get the point

just because we do not agree with your opinion does not mean we don't get it

Did you just ask wiseivian if he's new to GLB? You are a lolcasual nobody who is supporting a suggestion what would throw an already problematic area of the game completely out of whack. If you think STOPs aren't already OP'd and this won't make them even more OP'd, you obviously have no concept of the current ST sim. Even if you do really believe that STOPs should have this option, you need to address the critique that it would cause a huge game imbalance, something you aren't doing with your little mini-rage post against some of the most knowledgeable agents in GLB.

Because a STOP o-lineman is worthless on the o-line--not much call for a 120 SPD o-lineman. A STOP defensive player can most likely get away with playing a few snaps in a back up roll on defense, depending on his build.

In general tho, I can think of about 10 other projects I'd like to see get done first. Thumbs down here.

Haven't read the thread (bite me)...

I made a WR with some leftover flex points and decided to model him after Josh Cribbs. My goal was for him to be a ST player exclusively.

Only problem is that if I want to boost him, I'm paying a premium in flex points over an identical player who happens to be a CB. Now I feel like a sucker for not making my Josh Cribbs doppleganger a CB instead of a WR.

I think it would be worthwhile for GLB to allow players to stratify themselves as ST-only players, instead of making them compete as starting WRs or defensive backs who end up getting "stuck" at STs.

I did, because of my examples that all custom trees are tailored to specific positions, why the F not for a STOP....which is a specific position noob!

Wow, lolcasual is old, and VERY lol @ huge game imbalance? Since when? Are the STOPS MVP's in the WL? Are they changing the game as we know it?

Best of all, every single person here pays for a build per position, why descriminate against a build most teams need or want, why omit a "little ole" custom tree for a STOP? You must also be new to this game too if you think a little STOP tree will change GLB as we know it!

LMAO!!! seriously!!

They should have DT custom tree then, why let overpowering kickers who complete 100 out of 100 FG's made from 49 yards and in each and every season? Same story for a LOLSTOP custom tree..........oh nooooo'ssssss

I think it'd be nice if STOPs got their own SA trees. Perhaps they can have one offensive (blocking, pancakes, hold block) and one defensive (tackling, break block, force fumble etc).

it'd be nice to be able to create a STOP and just have all the SAs a special teamer would need rather than mixing and matching based on position- i.e. using an OL for blocking STOPs and defensive players for tackling STOPs.

I mean, the whole point of a STOP is to be out there for ever special teams snap, might as well give them the tools they need to do their job properly.

i guess i should give an example to make it a proper suggestion.

Offensive skill tree:
Quick Cut-> Balance -> Hands (hold block) ->Pummel -> Pancake

Defensive skill tree:
Change Direction -> Shed Block -> Diving Tackle -> Monster Hit -> Head Hunter

Returner Skill tree (if necessary):
First Step-> Change Direction -> Juke -> Spin-> Return Specialist

i think it should also allow people to differentiate their STOPs at creation, choosing offensive, defensive, balanced, or Returner STOPs, and having bonus/penalty SAs. I just think it would make the STOP creation more fun and differentiated

Great idea. Plenty of TEs, WRs, RBs, LBs, Ss, and even DEs who barely ever see time on O or D in real life.

Problem with that...do you restrict those players to ST depth charts only? Can't be starters? Hard to regulate.

ST guys like me and Stizz don't have those stats happen to our special teams...its taken more seriously then the norm. Who ever puts there 3 fastest guys on the BW is fail right away....

A 120 speed DE with 80 strength coming untouched for about 15 yards in on a frozen rope can do that to a 185 pound CB with 60 strength and 70 carry!
