Good idea.. Right now all you need to do to unbalance things is sign a lvl 60 HB.

From a business perspective, that's not a realistic addition to the game. If you create non-boosting leagues, then everyone would play those instead of the boosting leagues.

Bort , just read a question that reminded me of something, the pee wee community was all over the board begging for cheaper rates to custom and the level 8 special tree that is 300 flex. I believe something to the effect that pee wees cost a lot more money to play than if you moved on up the ladder. Is there any thought on making custom and custom upgrades cheaper at level 1 for one and done dots? Make a special archtype that after the pee wee season that player is forced to retire but in the end it's cheaper than the current system. Not free mind you, just custom and custom upgrades cheaper?

The formations are so random and all over the map based on field position and downs and yards to first that it is actually the MOST inaccurate gameplan that can be set in Basic Ai.

Trust me, in 6 seasons i've played nearly 350 games of Casual and have tried NEAR every combination, and on Defence, it is a HUGE unknown tactic over-all as we don't get to see the formations used on passing defence short, medium, long or any run inside/outside defence.

Ok, now I get what you're looking for: What does long pass defense call, what does medium call, etc?

Maybe we can put together a FAQ, but in the mean time, the general rule is:

Long pass = cover 3
Med pass = cover 2
Short pass = cover 1

However, the playcalling AI does make different calls in different situations. For obvious rushing situations, it's going to call more cover 1, for obvious deep pass situations, it's going to call more cover 2/3.

What was the reasoning behind the decision to allow people to have up to 9 teams? (serious question).

I could understand giving people the option of having an extra team, or even one extra of each team, but 3 of each seems a little excessive to me.

Therefore I was wondering why you chose that number? ...do you plan on selling the game shortly and are trying to 'dress up' all the leagues, is GLB experiencing financial difficulty, or was it to simply give more options to those who wanted them.

Also do you think there are any unintended consequences of this change, i.e. people using multiple teams to game the caps and transferring roster each season, further dilution of player talent... etc.

I no there was a demand by numerous users for the ability to have another team, but I just feel you might have gone a little to far with this one.

We discussed this today and the answer is no. There are still plenty of players who move on from Pee Wees to continue their GLB careers and retirement/purchase of CEQ is a choice agents make, not one forced upon them.

Thanks that may help as well. The levels are seeming to stretch too far and after being in Elite for 4 seasons i'm SCARED to go to that mess above.

I don't mind never getting to the top as long as I can get some good games on the bottom , end of day that's all i'm really here for anyway. Good games.

There is no "always on" component. However, there are times when the SA will go off, and the player gets tackled anyway, because his roll is still too low. In those cases, there's no chance to see if it worked or not, since the play just ends.

is there pictures of each formation available anywhere? Now that I see what avenger is asking this could be very beneficial

what would you say is the goal of what the sim should be...

i understand this is a question very hard to give a direct answer to, but i feel it would clear up TONS of confusion.

It has been stated many times the point of the sim is NOT to be American football, but its own "glb football."

There lies the problem though.... define "glb football"

The problem i see with this game is its lack of direction. Changes to o-line, d-line, rushing, passing, etc. are constantly made between seasons, yet nothing is ever really set it stone.

What SHOULD a typical WL player's stats look like...YPC, Yards/Pass, Pancakes, etc. ... if you have two balanced teams playing in the WL.

... and yes to everyone else i'm well aware this post was probably pointless and i won't get the answer i'm looking for

No particular reason, other than I thought people might want to have 3 teams of a type, and team demand is not as high as it used to be. Some people had like 5 or 6 teams when the game started, and besides cash funneling (which is now gone) it wasn't that big of a deal.
