I have a better idea! after a coach spends 440 days as a coach, you can retire him and make him a broadcaster or sportswriter who will raise morale for writing stories about your team that are positive. He will vote (along with other broadcasters and sportswriters in the given league) for MVP.

don't say that.. they might actually do it.

but would they have multiple "newspapers or networks" that I could work for?

Do you honestly think the formula can be fixed?

Blowout games will always grossly impact rankings... also Bort insists that players on every team should have a shot at MVP despite their team being 0-16 having lost every game by 255+. As long as those effect the system it will never be fixed.

use only the stats from each players 6 most competitive games and you would have a much more accurate mvp race. surely a TD in a 17-13 game should be far more important than 20 TDs in a 255-0 that still gets adjusted down to 4 TDs.

bort time after time has said he is happy with the mvp calculations even if there seems to the rest of us that those calculations have flaws. but this to me says that bort knows the calculations are flawed and has thrown his hands up in surrender.

sadly in a lot of leagues, the MVPs can almost be awarded before the start of the season.

offensive mvp will be the the RB from a run heavy, above average team that mostly just features the one player
defensive mvp will be the DE with the best combination of sacks, hurries and FF
ST mvp will be the returner from a mid level team that gets alot more KOs than the top teams.

I dont think "6 most competitive games" works either (assuming "competitive" implies close games). Why would it be fair to count games for players on the top teams against the rest of the top teams while a player on a team fighting for a playoff spot gets to count his stats against lesser opponents? I think a 5th or 6th seed team is more capable of shutting down a MVP caliber player than a #9 or #10 seed team is.

also... to win the ST MVP the returner must also be placed as a gunner on kick/punt coverage to rack up some tackles (missed tackles being ignored).

i usually propose just counting against the top 7 playoff teams, but that always gets the mid range teams all riled saying that then they wouldnt have a chance to win any....well duh. to be the best you should have had to performed well against the best

There are typically a few guys that are deserving of the MVP, so a weighted lottery using the top 5 is a good way of determining the MVP and adds a little mystery. I wouldn't even separate the MVP award with the endorsement, but the guys that game the MVP will at least get something for their effort.

Too many game the system MVP's out there, and this change at least limits that to a degree.

This. WTF do we really have to deal with this crap? Just give the award to the top finisher. My HB and two other guys have relatively similar stats and are top 3 in MVP. The next closest has 1/2 the yards/TDs but he might win?? That is damned ridiculous

GLB knows that its MVP formula is flawed, so instead of trying to fix it, their solution is to give the endorsement randomly. That is amusingly typical for this game.

What would be so wrong about that?

Obviously, that is really the issue, so just fix the right problem. Don't punish people because GLB is too uninterested to fix the actual problem.

I don't disagree with this.

Huh? What crybabies complained about MVP equipment to get this changed? I know there was one owner here that basically rigged his team so one of his own players would win the MVP every season but does one person spoiling it require a change to the whole system? This now makes the MVP award kinda pointless.

Same guy that was crying that he just started a new team and had no money to pay for good players I guess.

Would have been cool with a salary cap that MVP endorsed agents would have to be paid some sort of premium above the rest of the players making it harder for teams to keep them and all of their other high talent agents.

I would just like to know who came up with this idea.

I mean when Bort, DD, Pallow, Catch, etc.. were sitting at the round table playing quarters or something which one said.

GLB Admin MVP Idea Creator- Holy crap guys!!! I got it! I figured out a fix for the MVP problem, so we don't have to actually take the time to fix something that is in the game, that is actually broken! We can keep changing stuff that isn't broken, since we apparently can't fix actual broken stuff to get people to buy flex again!!!!

Other GLB Admin- What?!??!?!?!? Really?!?!?!?!?!? What is it?

GLB Admin MVP Idea Creator- We give the trophy to the person who was #1, but wait, wait for it, ......... We have a random drawing for the endorsement! That way we don't have to actually fix the problem, we just make it a completely bullcrap award!

Other GLB Admins- YAYAYYA!!!! Praise GLB Admin MVP Creator!!!!

All we need is more fluff added to this game
