Bort is happy with the formula, but in one of the Q&As, he did open up the ability to tweak the formulas via suggestions. MVP SUGGESTIONS should no longer be locked, but complaints will be. the biggest error i see in MVP suggestions is that the OP more often than not is using raw stats to support their idea which makes their argument completely void.
the biggest problem with mvp is that adjusted stats were supposed to minimize stats from blowouts yet blowout games still will decide most mvps. until blowouts are completely eliminated from the calculations, the calculations will remain flawed, even if in a perfect world those same formulas would be correct.Adjusted stat is the most asinine solution to the blowout games problem in the MVP calculation. Is it just me but it seems the obvious and simple solution is to allow a fixed number of MVP points per game to be distributed among players based on their performance in the game. In this way, an MVP performance will only get X amount of points per game, no matter if the score is 255-0 or 7-7. But heck adjusted stats and now random winner probably works better
