The player that finishes #1 in the MVP is still your MVP. They still get the MVP trophy. They still get to brag they are the MVP. The ONLY thing that is changing is that the sweet piece of equipment is no longer guaranteed to the MVP.

Because the endorsement is usually an awesome piece of EQ, that deserves to go to the winner, not some random dot.

If the MVP formula is so fucked up that they need to do this, then they should just fix the damn formula.

The winner is often not deserving... especially when it comes to the ST MVP winner.

I would prefer them to eliminate the equipment piece all together. They wont do that so this is a fair compromise to prevent teams/players from exploiting that crappy MVP formula since there is no guarantee to win the equipment.

In the higher leagues it is a pretty awesome piece, usually AAA and up.

Regardless, it is just a slap in the face to the person that actually wins it, but ends up without it.

This is just how GLB is running things now. It is exactly why they force dots to run slower, when the team is winning by 80+ points. They don't want the losing team/dot to have their feelings hurt too badly.

I couldnt agree with you more. Unfortunately... Bort is under the impression that they are working just fine (he said that when I asked him in Feb's Q and A... too lazy to look up the link).

But that shouldn't be acceptable, either.

He's not fixing the real problem, which is completely bullshit.

The formula has never worked right from the beginning, which we've been telling him over and over. SO instead of him actually fixing the source of the problem, they decide to do this nonsense adjustment instead?

It is things like this, that really sum up the main problems that GLB has. They're always looking for the quick way to fix something, instead of looking into the actual root of an issue.

This new rule sucks...just as the game does.

I have three players in the Top 2 of the offensive MVP race right now, I'm sure this is going to screw me one way or another.
