One thing I've believed in in life is the worst you can get by asking is a NO, so why the hell not try.

Actually dude, you're picking up where myself and Avenger left off, for 2-3 seasons now we've been @ Max and Bort thru him for this.

So yes, there has been a torch, and it has been carried, and I wish you more luck & success.

Problem doesn't lie with the bosses though, it's how many teams Bort wants/needs to do an AA here.

If he had started us with a Pro & AAA like he did for the 8 Regular regions, we wouldn't be talking right now.

I understand a lot of legwork has been done, however I feel it should be organized into one solid idea....If I present it and I'll do my best sales job, maybe we could get it done....just maybe. I'm going to hear a No before I just give up you know....

As for the AA's Just looking at the leagues now I dont think we'd have enough to support them.

From what I've read it appears the major sticking point is that we don't have enough competitive teams to support a 4 AA, 2 AAA and 1 Pro Casual System. Long term our hopes should be that we eventually can get to that type of structure, but personally I see no way we can win that battle in the short term. Especially giving all of the issues we are currently having with CPU teams in competitive leagues. To me the best short term solution to would be to model the uncapped casual leagues after the existing pee wee structure and eliminate the uncapped cloud.

This structure would look like so...

Casual Gold
Casual Silver
Casual Bronze
Capped Leagues 14 thru 46

As an example here is how I would form these leagues for season 14.

Casual Gold - Top 5 finishers from each conference from the existing 3 Uncapped Casual Leagues based on final season 13 standings. Fill the final 2 spots in Casual Gold based on a bracket style tourney made up of the other 18 playoffs casual teams.

Casual Silver - 16 Remaining Playoffs teams from S13. Take all of the casual teams who finished in positions 9 thru 12 in their conference dropping any CPUs. Take the top 16 teams based on Record,Points Scored...

Casual Bronze - Two teams who finished 9th thru 12 who didn't qualify for Silver + Teams that finished 13 thru 16 in their conference, drop any CPUs and add in promotions from the Cap 46 league.

Obviously there will be some team sales that affect the overall look of each of these three, but to me this at least gives a more competitive structure. In my opinion this new structure also lends itself to expansion. If need be additional leagues can be added at the top or bottom with the eventual goal to have enough leagues to convert to a Pro, AAA, AA type structure.

Thoughts?

Chris

This is the type of Thinking that I wanted when starting the thread

I dont like this setup....

Casual Gold
Casual Silver
Casual Bronze
Capped Leagues 14 thru 46

My feeling is that if you fill a gold/silver/copper, the top of the of the capped leagues will be left w/ basically nothing, I even fear there wont be enough for Bronze to look decent...you are going to have Lower capped 32-42 teams trying to fill out bronze which would basically leave the cloud w/ nothing.

For sure we have enough to support a "Pro" League with how you stated, top 5 of each Uncapped Conference and then use the current tiebreakers to get the last 2.

I think the biggest question is do we have enough to support 2 "AAA" leagues w/out leaving uncapped with nothing.

man all you guys are just making this more complicated than it seems. Making a Casual Pro and 2 AAA makes the most sense. If you guys want i will go thru and compile a list of 96 team that possibly could be the make up 4 it. Ill pm all the owners of those teams, and see if theyd be fine with being in a casual Pro or AAA. I guarentee you that all of them would be fine with that. And if your worried bout lvl of competition, Look at the Regular AAA's most are made up of teams with lvls between 48 and 60's. Meaning top teams in the lvl 46 could get promoted to AAA. Or another thing to think of is maybe having the AAA have like a lvl 54 cap on it. and then lift the cap after the very next season. Thatd be another great idea if you want to make for sure that the AAAs can be competitive.

but we need a pro league. Im really getting sick and tired of just seeing uncapped and i know everyone else is 2. Theres no pride in winning an uncapped league. There is pride in winning Pro and AAA leagues. Even AA but i dont know bout those yet unless we could make that next season 2, and have it as 4 AA with a lvl 46 as the cap 4 it. but thats starting to get things a little complicated.
If within the next 2 seasons i dont see anything done im more than likely going to move down to a lvl 22 or 26 cap league and start over cuz recruting every season in an uncapped is just going to get worse and worse when every player is taking notice that nothing is really being done to help out the casual leagues

I think a "Pro" and then 2 "AAA" makes the most sense with what we have, it basically will get rid of uncapped altogether, but I think that would be fine, just have the cloud go through Cap 46 and the Cap 46 teams will feed into the 2 AAA's. If down the road we get a lot of casual teams moving up and Cap 46 grows to 10+ leagues we can then think about adding 4 AA's...

fully agree with this. and like i mentioned to, if bort doesnt think we will have enough competitive teams for AAA we could have it as like a 54 cap.
I think we shouldnt let bort tell us no this year. Have to find someway 4 him to say yes and agree to making a Pro and AAA leagues

I think we're on the right track with a single Pro league and two AAA leagues feeding it. There have to be 90+ solid teams in Casual...

And the Vancouver Vaporizers are on the rise, just to put all you big timers on notice.

Did you read my entire post? The teams you pointed out are in Uncapped now, the best of uncapped would make up a "Pro"

My point was if you pull 96 teams out of uncapped to make Pro and 2 AAA's then there wont be that much left for AA's

I didn't think you were wanting a "full" tree of Pro to AA leagues in Casual! I thought i would pain a small picture of what a "AA" league could have looked like this season already. No matter what is going on in the other 2 uncapped or 46 cap leagues, or how many more teams there are outside this list, this list could have easily been implemented to get it all started in season 13!
