Excellent suggestions!

Recruiting has been tough! Good Friends and contacts are very valuable when recruiting for uncapped Casuals. Make this happen for season 14.

I just want to clarify that jbleich is making a suggestion on how he feels the casual leagues should be ran and he feels that most of the community would agree with his suggestion. It's not official and nothing has been presented to Bort. If you wish to voice your opinion on how the casual leagues should be ran, please do, but nothing is guaranteed to happen.

So why sticky this then? Even know its very important to the longevity of the Competitive Casual/Classic leagues here on GLB, what point is it to get our hopes up again? I can link 3-4 threads in the past 3 seasons (4 months) via the regular GLB forum, Casual forums, suggestion forums, private Casual owner forums, etc that admins or mods have semi-promised changes are coming for the better. This thread is another empty idea with nothing more then a hollow "wish list"!!

The thread is stickied for it to remain visible to all active casual forum users. NOTHING is promised. I actually will go as far as to say that the chances of anything happening, because of this thread, are very slim, but jbleich has the community in mind and is only trying to help. If someone cannot accept that he is doing this with only the best of intentions, don't visit the thread. We are promising NOTHING and getting upset at jbleich or us is just silly. Move on.

Not necessarily Avenger. Like jbleich said, this is going to take "someone" or "a group of
owners" or an Owner chosen "couple of people" to compile all the data and then send off the
proposal. We all know that the Mods cannot promise anything to us without Bort making the final
decission. The question I would ask here is..... Has a proposal been sent off yet?

If we work hard enough on this thing... we CAN make it happen. It has to be done the right way
and all the pros and cons worked out. Kinks, so to speak. That's what this thread is for.

Look, I really am all for advancing the experience of being a Casual Owner... that's why I
started the Private Forum for all of us. I have one and Love it. I like the idea of having more
to look forward to besides just AA for my Team. I'm here to stay as long as I can and the team
is not going to anyone else. Hey, before the new caps were added I seriously considered a
demotion for my team..... with the onset of the new caps, we can move forward much better.
So, ya see, there are changes that DO happen. It takes the right aproach I'm sure.

Well, considering how royally fuked the regular pyramids are starting from the lolAA leagues there, maybe they could all go back to uncapped clouds like the Casual uncapped are forced to stay in. The main arguement i've made in the past is this:

- In regular "AA" leagues there are 32 leagues, ONLY 10 feeder leagues are supporting the level of competition for these leagues every season...thus the reason there are still so many CPU teams, gutted teams and mid level teams competeting. Its a piss poor ladder system!

- In the Casual uncapped, if there was a single "AA" league as of now it would be 1 League with four feeder leagues keeping up the competitive environment!!!

- That being said, the regulars would need 4 times as many feeder leagues to support 32 regular "AA" leagues or 128 leagues to keep up the level of competition in comparison to what the Casual "AA" league would be created from.......

"Casual" leagues need a name change in general. The mindset of the GLB community as a whole is that "Casual" is lol-game playing. For alot of us, it is not casual to set-up a team to win right away. Alot of what could be said about these leagues could use NEW name of: "Classic" league. Classic Pro, Classic AAA, Classic AA, Classic 46 capped, etc, etc.

I also believe that either a "commity" of competitive casual team owners or just 1 representitive should submit "suggested" league re-alignment as per new levels from Pro on down of uncapped if implemented.......

I like the idea of calling casuals "Classic" League... It seems as though Agents generally don't wat to be apart of the Casuals unless they've started out with that squad from the beginning...or you have "friends" Most of the guys on my squad have been with us from Season 8... Bringing in new talent each season is equally as challenging as the other leauges if not tougher... The Classic Pro, AAA, and AA would bring more value to what we have here...

You can call a honda a jaguar, but its still a honda. (Wasn't that a commercial?)

I like the name Casual and have never had a problem fielding a team. Was it more work, yeah, but only because there is more glamour associated with the regular leagues, as that is the only path to Pros and WL.

That won't change just because we own "Classic" teams.

I agree with your points, and I don't know if you've recruited for an uncapped team before, but in order to stay competitive (I would say our team is in the top 10-15 of all casual leagues) it is way more difficult to pick up level 55-70s in casual than it ever was when we were going 16-0 at level 40, etc. With the exception of a few teams (Wellington, say), almost all the teams are comprised of either a) teams who are heavily dominated by one agent's players, who doesn't mind having very good players in casual or, b) very good players with flaws that make them useless in advanced AI leagues. So I'm all for changing the name if it changes the perception even ~1%; it makes my job of recruiting that much easier.

No, and one will not be sent off unless I feel we have everything hammered out, and then it is just that, a Proposal...as Pallow stated and as I stated in my first sentance in the OP, NOTHING is promised.

One thing I've believed in in life is the worst you can get by asking is a NO, so why the hell not try.

You make a good point here as that maybe even the 2 AAA's that I stated in the OP would be crap, because of not enough Cap 42/46 leagues to support them, so possibly just having a Premier Casual League (top 32 teams) and then keep Uncapped below that and then 46 on down........

Then the drive of all casual teams would be to get to the Premier league.

I dont think changing the name from casual to classic is going to help recruiting, if anything tuba is right in saying that a lot of players go to "regular" teams for the fact that they have something to work for.
