Also according to the list Rip the Ball has more requirements as well. I suggested Rip the Ball back when Power Tackler was still 2% so that's probably why the %'s are the same after Power Tackler got its upgrade


Nice catch, i never noticed how utterly useless Rip the Ball is, Power tackling is the same bonus with no limitation...
Everyone is flocking to this VA cause it sounds cool, but its quite useless unless you are stacking it with power tackling already.

The reasoning behind that could well be that if you make Rip the Ball much better due to its limitation, then it stacks with Power Tackler and could get out of hand.

Then again, I firmly believe that VAs should work under a "only the highest bonus applies" situation.

Were that the case, you could safely raise Rip the Ball up as high as 4-5%, while keeping Power Tackler at 2%, and you wouldn't get crazy shit like +105% to cause fumbles.

Each level of Mentor gives a +1% in-game bonus to vision and confidence for all teammates of the same position who are at least 40 days younger and no more than 3 levels higher than this player, as long as this player is on the depth chart for the game. This ability stacks with other mentors on the team, up to a maximum of a 25% bonus per position. Prereqs: level 32

Could I get a little clarification on Mentor? I think that this skill works on any player of the same "class" as the mentor- so if my LB has mentor and is on the depth chart as MLB, he will affect all LB on the team, whether playing OLB, MLB, ILB, SS, or whatever. However if a DE was playing MLB the bonus would not affect him. Is this right?

On a similar note, has bort ever posted the minimum out of position penalty?

There is so much to read through...

Technique Man
This player has great technique when fighting blockers. Each level of Technique Man gives a +2% bonus to breaking pass blocks when using the Evasive pass rush tactic, if the blocker has at least 10% less agility. Prereqs: agility 50

Does this VA take into consideration equipment or is it just natural abilities?

so a level 60 cannot mentor a lvl 55? I dont understand the year limit comment here at all

A level 60 can mentor a 55. That hasn't changed. Now, however, a level 52 can also mentor the 55.

Read the thread. I've seen it posted at least 9 times since it got released.

A level 60 can mentor a 55. That hasn't changed. Now, however, a level 52 can also mentor the 55.
