-RB's are so obviously under-utilized in this game and it's sad. The majority of teams in GLB use a pass first offense similar to the New England Patriots and are leaving RB's to around 10 rushes if that and 50 yds or less.

-My LVL 23 RB is very well built but has never reached his full potential because GLB is a pass first game.

-As a whole, the disparity between the passing game and running game is unbelievable. I'm beginning to wish I made a QB or WR instead of an RB. . .

I've actually noticed the exact opposite but I'm not going to be all 15-year old drama queen about it like you have been. If you don't feel like you're getting the carries ask to be traded in the off-season. There are plenty of run first offenses.

Read the whole thread before singling out the first post and sounding ignorant.

This is a really stupid question, but where do you guys get info like this? The only way I find out about stuff is people on the forums start stalking about something and then more and more people start talking about it. It's so hard to keep fact and rumor seperate.

I got it from a very reliable source(sounds like BS but true) and I don't want to compromise that source. It may be posted elsewhere or coming soon but Idk about that. So next season will tell the tale.

Bort posted it in the middle of a Flames thread about Grifter, Bort gave a short list of things he was changing

I hope this stuff about the running game is true. I've NEVER seen a running back have a great(or even good for that matter) game against an elite team. I have a Level 24 Running Back in the Canadian Pro League, he's 4th in the league in rushing this season, finished top 5 last season as well - while splitting carries. He average over 5 yards a carry last season, barring complete collapse in the final game he will again this season. Toronto had the #1 rushing game in the CPL last season, looks like we will again this year. Overall I'd say he's a pretty successful GLB running back.

I'm not saying this in an attempt to brag (ok, maybe I'm bragging a little bit, but that's not the point ) I'm saying it because I'll tell you myself that it's not because he's a great runner against good teams. It's because of stuff like this:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=38375

Against the upper tier teams in the league it usually looks more like this:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=38329

Those games happened back to back, BTW, so no it wasn't a difference in levels between games or anything. The GDS game was Week 13, Pecker's Point Week 14. Energy/Morale were 100 going into both games.

The guy I split carries with Lamont Runsewe (2nd in CPL this season, Top 10 last season, he's no slouch either) is the same way as is every other back I'm spoken to. Everyone naturally talks about USA Pro first - Canada Pro is the same way. To use the same comparison used earlier 15 teams in Canada Pro have a better run D than the Vikings. 8 are allow 40 yards or less per game, 3 allow less than 20 yards per game, and Dong Energy is giving up an average of -4.8 per game.

The run game is definitely very broken in GLB so here's hoping Bort and crew are able to find a solution and implement it quickly.

Anyway if you took out the blow out 300 yard game he would have 4 ypc

4 YPC is great for an RB so why are you complaining.

I'm moving up to Canada Pro next season so we'll see if I do similar then (which i'm relatively confident I will).

What I'm averaging like 5 yards a carry against similar competition so I'm not sure what you guys are complaining about.

Similar competition?

Look, your Coyotes are a great team and you deserve lots of credit for assembling that much talent. But they are a far better team than anyone else in Africa Pro.

His RB doesnt play for the Coyotes...

No. 4 YPC is what the average NFL rushing offense attained. So it should be average for a running back, not "great." The best should be getting 5.

With the way the game is now 3 is average 4 is great 5 is legend.

I doubt we'll ever get the numbers to exactly NFL standards, but it's around the same.
