#1 if there's a plateau longer than it takes to grow, it'll create a bottle neck. Will there be more teams/leagues created to keep up with all of the dots in the same bracket?

#2 Bort makes money faster with more retirements.

#3 If you're not a coordinator, then plateau is the boring part of the build. With a faster progression building is probably going to be much more enjoyable.

the problem for Pro has been lack of dots to fill teams, so this helps that issue

also, get rid of the ability for plateau dots to be in regional pro

maybe 2nd year decliners can join but having plateau dots in regional pro while there were CPU's in National Pro was dumb

#3 then you have the option to retire and start all over again. Or create more (addresses #2).

this. you dont have to keep the dot and you can also stagger when you build your dots.

i dont coordinate and anything below plateau is painful

#1 More top teams and leagues is good, because it's more fun, more competitive, and GLB has had too few plateau players as of late leading to Pro leagues being 50% filled with CPU teams. GLB creating teams/leagues as needed for dots has never been an issue.

#2 If you look at my link comparing dot cost: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11BfLfPX5TuzxWLs7bzn5t_b9ZUCja64sAjeqLIHdDrg/edit#gid=0

The net flex cost (for a current 200 flex dot) per 30 days real time is actually going from 100 in the old system to 140 in the new system, due to a dot costing close to the same (net) but you only getting 9 seasons of life rather than 12 as previous. Elongating plateau would actually bring us more in line with previous flex burn.

Further, the longer dots live (with flex tied into them), the more a user actually has to buy in flex if he wants to build more dots. So in a way, keeping dots alive and delaying the refund can increase $'s spent if agents actually enjoy making more and more dots.

#3 This will vary by person, but if most people truly hated plateau and only enjoyed building, they'd insta-retire their dot after 1 plateau season (which never really happens). The fact that agents keep dots around for their entire plateau means they enjoy something of the payoff of plateau.

But at any rate your point is a poor one, because if Bort extended plateau to 7 seasons, you could still choose to personally retire all dots after 5 seasons of plateau and be no worse off than you are now. The allowance of add'l plateau seasons (if desired) is good for the userbase since it give you more options!

Hopefully leagues are renamed. Something like freshman-sophomore-junior-senior (for the 4 build years) then a pyramid for the plateau dots (1 league fed from 2 fed from 4, more if needed)

Sidebar, but biggest thing is having generic names AAA#1, AA#3, etc. Since having these current cringy names like GLB2 makes me want to die and makes stuff confusing.

FWIW, I LOVE the whole building process. From Rookie to plateau I thoroughly enjoy the journey of dot's maturation process that culminates in the quest for Gold and Glory at WL; Truly a combination of fun and fulfillment, at least for me.

Nothing better in GLB for the process, than to nurture a build on the journey to maturity. Then to see the process culminate in quality performance at the World League level is just online satisfaction. Each phase to me is much like life's journey, every step has its own sweet spots, challenges, and pleasures

I don't really care either way. Just trying to spark an actual discussion, instead of everyone just saying more is better.

What I really hope happens is that teams must win every season to advance like the old WL/Natty/Reg system.

Year 1 is all World
Year 2 is World and Natty for winners and losers of Y1
Year 3+ is World, Natty, Reg. Y2 World winners stay World, Y2 World losers and Natty winners go Natty, everyone goes Reg.

At Y5, when everyone is equal WL. Reg winners go to Natty, and must win Natty to go WL.

Winning all the way up would be a fast track. Not competing would burn plateau seasons.

Well, it's not new GLB yet.

To answer the thread title question, don't care. I don't like this accelerated proccess that everyone is excited so I'll follow with whatever you decide.

I wonder if I'll turn pro WL?

I usually get bored with dots after 5 or 6 seasons

I wonder if more teams will be able to hold their shit together?
Even the usual University die off will now be almost done, instead of just getting started.
