Tell you what I know for sure. I've been in a lot of Beta testing, all the way back to when the rage was play by mail and none of the testing finishes fast. Our Dots will hit plateau and move beyond usefulness long before they are anywhere near ready for release.

comparing the new game to the 2008 sim is ridiculous. obviously glb 1.0 is his base sim. the sim is the best its ever been and itll probably be very similar. it wont be like 208

The new game wont succeed. The user base will fade. Sony made the same mistake with their EverQuest. Came out with a new version that fixed all their issues from the first one, problem was, it took more computer and made minor changes that was part of what many people had grown used too, so some users dropped, a lot of the older users didn't want to rebuild, so they left both games. As the user based declined, less was happening in game, and more people dropped. It feeds on itself. There's an old saying that translates into you can never go back to what was, and it is almost always true.

i couldnt agree more.

unless glb2 is something great itll probably kill both games tbh. the only good thing is flex can go to both games so if glb2 sucks, i can just retire those players or whatever and keep playing glb1. or if its good, i can scrap all my dots here.


the userbase may split though and then quickly kill both games. who knows.

I hadn't planned on staying in dotball much longer anyhow. After this trip up, I'll get out of ownership and OC some team that will let me build a version of the Rush Hour offense I have in mind. Then I'll be done. Thinking about my own web site where I can just screem at the world and it's stupidity.

Brigade will more than likely be done after this season. Not written in stone but the odds right now are in favor of being done.

Tired of spending a lot of money and time on this game. Tired of putting a shit ton of time into scouting and adjusting. Tired of ownership. I could use the flex to tinker around the new game for awhile as a change of pace from what I have been doing.

Like I said....its not written in stone that we are done but leaning that way as of right now.

We will see how everyone feels about things at the end of this season. I l already have 2 agents who said they might be done.

if you need a squad hit me up. a few of us are putting two squads together to check the game out. maybe 3 if i can get my own team going. just to see if its any good. nothing serious just some fun and hopefully itll be better than glb. at least replay wise.
