I think our game will be a tough one today. I don't expect a blow out that is for sure.

Aw shux, looking at those power rankings, why do we even bother ;-) Thanks for doing those Blue.

So it comes down to two. One that rolled through the season showing everyone who was boss, and one that scratched and clawed and overcame many obstacles during the season. Two go in, one comes out.

Listen all! This is the truth of it. Fighting leads to killing, and killing gets to warring. And that was damn near the death of us all. Look at us now! Busted up, and everyone talking about hard rain! But we've learned, by the dust of them all... Bartertown learned. Now, when men get to fighting, it happens here! And it finishes here! Two men enter; one man leaves.

MARAUDERS
The Marauders got here by a straight up battle with some hungry Mafia members (hope they don't mess up my family for the win) and quite a good deal of luck. A game in which we threw six interceptions (that will teach me not to look at the opposing teams interception rate which for the Mafia, is ridiculous), blocked a field goal and escaped when they missed another makable field goal. Not sure my Marauders deserved the win, but they don't call it an ugly win for nothing. Take it and move on.

The Marauders decided to go balls to the wall and went almost whole hog pass happy. 75 pass attempts for 26 completions vs. 10 rushes. Unfortunately six of those passes ended up in the wrong hands and two of them returned for the only touchdowns my Marauders gave up. Hopefully I learned my lesson.

French Toast dominated possession time of the ball. They owned the field from a tune of 37 minutes to 22 minutes. They just couldn't punch it in the endzone when they needed to. French Toast also owned the punt game forcing the Marauders to march the long field each time. Mike Brag the Mafias punter pinned the Marauders back five times inside the 20, 3 inside the 10, 2 inside the five. Thats alot of kicks that pinned us back.

SIN CITY SILENT ASSASSINS
Once again, the Assassins scored early and often. Everybody knows they are going to pass, and yet they come out and still dominate the games passing at will. May take a pro level team defense to slow this offense down.

I am not sure, but I think Calvin Johnson may play for Sin City. Baltimore is a class team run by some very good agents that know how to play the game. Yet Sin City managed to throw for nearly 600 yards with an almost 60% completion percentage. That borders on the ridiculous. Sin City struggles to run the ball, but who the heck cares. They don't need to. What is really shocking that with as many pass attempts as they had, they had only one sack against them and no interceptions. Not sure how to defend those kind of numbers (though then again it appears nobody else has figured it out yet either, and many of those trying are much better at it than I am).

Baltimore tried to step up its passing game to keep up with the Assassins, but with four sacks, two pics and a completion percentage around 50% couldn't keep up with the Assassins. They did manage to go for 424 total yards, but up against the Assassins nearly 600, thats just chump change and not good enough. In addition to dominating the yardage, the Assassins also kept Baltimore off the field holding on to the ball for ten more minutes than their opponents.

PREDICTION
The Marauders try and contain the Sin City express but get rolled over in the process. The Marauders throw out a couple of tricks of their own including a couple of flea flickers and a fumble rooskie, but come up short in the end. The game is high scoring with Sin City owning the first half and the Marauders making a game of it in the second half. Unfortunately my boys will go home in tears to a score of 38-30.

If it plays out this way, congrats in advance Sin City. Either way, definitely a quality opponent. Best of luck to you.

Hell of a game, Marauders, if we hadn't gotten those 3 INT's you would have won....

BTW, Congrats to Turkey & Swiss. My LOT had given up only 1 Sack in the regular season and playoffs and T&S got around him and to Paddy twice in that game...my hat is off to him....

Look forward to seeing you guys again next season.

Yeah, will try and post more later but was a heck of a game. Three pics hurt. Coach screwing up the tactics to go for on fourth down instead of kicking a long field goal for the win hurt worse :-(
Funny thing is, I threw everything we had including the kitchen sink to try and stop your passing game. We limited you to one td, but couldn't stop you from ridiculous yardage amounts. That is some offense you have there. Congrats on the big trophy. Will definitely be seeing you guys again.

Yeah it was a hell of a game. Well played Maraunders.

I had this gut feeling you where going to try and pass against us. Did not set my D in that direction. More less kept it at the balance offense style of Defending. You picked us apart good, probably better then we had been all season. I am glad we have 4 good DE's that can get at the QB.

I had seriously considered going heavy run to keep you guys off the field. Additionally, we have had success doing that before. Late in the season, our passing game was working well though, so I decided to go that route and see if we couldn't beat you in a shootout. Apparently we didn't have enough bullets. :-)

P.S. Yeah, nobody to blame but myself Blue. Offense, defense and special teams. I am the idiot for all of them :-(

We did it a few seasons ago also. You will get over it when you win Gold next season.

Definitely a GG, and I hate to be the team to give you a loss before the reset. It won't be the same level of competition without you guys being here.

I've enjoyed the competition as well, keep rolling and I hope to see you at the top of Casual Pro sometime soon.
