OK, I deserved that (for more reason than just locking that glorious thread).

The better-late-than-never Week 5 fail award goes to Legacy's late first quarter and early second quarter. They gave up touchdowns of 68, 27.5, and 40.5 yards in an eight minute span. The 21-point blitz put them in a big hole in a game they ultimately lost by 17. Congrats, Tonga Titans!

Legacy Tonga Titans late first quarter, early second quarter

Week 6 fail award goes to The Lumberjacks. There was a time when losing to dimmy in CPL was expected, not rare. This is not that time. DED's best game coming in was a 258-0 loss. But they took Lumber to the woodshed this week, 69-16, knocking one survivor participant out of the contest. Congrats, A.D.D.!

Week 7 fail award goes to Hammerfest for their late-game clock management. Down 7 to Thaaktown with 8:44 left, Hammerfest got the ball deep in their own territory... and proceeded to run on 7 of the next 9 plays. The drive took 4:38 off the clock and resulted in a punt, still from their own territory. The D got the ball back, but only with enough time to run 1 play. Congrats, Vikings!

You mean execution fail. Nothing wrong with running the ball when down by one score and 8 minutes to go. Especially when you have been running well.. But when you run like crap that is a problem.

24 yards on the previous 11 carries prior to that drive tbh. I stand by the whale!

Spoiler: Masterminds' kicker was the second top performer despite missing a 50 yard field goal in a 13-0 loss. Sure, the kicker also punted for 400 yards whilst drunk, but even inebriated a 33 yard average is nothing to brag about. Congrats, Bort!
