GG Blitzers - needed that pick six to secure the W. Seems like they should rename the game "The Interception Bowl" - 10 combined (five each)...

Damn Lightning. GG. Morale drain and the Casual AI five minute drill really made that one look ugly. I don't think Vancouver has EVER lost a game by that much. See you again when we grow up!

Can we stop the season and start the playoffs right now. May be our only shot at the playoffs :-)

I was going to incorporate this into a week two predictions but not sure if I'll have a ton of time before the games kick off tomorrow. Thought I'd look at the GLB tourney and our teams there.

GLB Tourney Action - Round 1 predictions (Reg. Pro Casual Elite #1 in bold): - 14 of the 32 teams entered (not a bad showing at all).

White Lightning vs. Detroit Muscle - Lightning a bit older and a bit better - they'll get the W.
Blatz Beer Barbarians vs. Brethren Krewe - Krewe will take this one although BBB is looking sharp and a W here would surprise me.
American Horror Story vs. Mississippi Moonshiners - Horror Story will get the W over the Moonshiners (Nevada, they have your avatar!!!).
Green Bay Maulers vs. Lipton Teabaggers - My team is just a tad older and that will be a difference maker in the outcome.
Nevada Hillbillie's vs. Emerald Coast Pirates - Hillbillie's a lot stronger and will advance.
ATHENS WARRIORS vs. Chocalate Blaze - Blaze will move onto the 2nd round but the Warriors will get a couple of jabs in there.
Alaskan "War" Raven vs. Pacific Trash Vortex - This is one where we can grab one from Casual Pro!!!
Nebraska-Omaha Mavricks vs. Dillon Panthers - Mavricks face a Casual Pro team but it has a lot of CPU dots - NO will win this one - another one against CP?!!!
Black Box vs. Florida State Seminoles - FSU looking pretty good (I thought it was illegal to use a college or pro team name?).
Baltimore Rock Monsters vs. Charlestown Chiefs - Chiefs have been pretty consistent in Casual Pro and they take down the Rock Monsters.
CHAOS SOCIETY * BattleDots vs. Hattgenstein Royal Volunteers - Volunteers made it to their conference finals last season and they'll get to the 2nd round of the GLB tourney this year.
Vancouver Gorillas vs. Avatar Alliance Voodoo - Gorillas lose to Casual Elite #2 team.

We have the first weeks action in the books and while it's a little early for a detailed analysis I stick by Alpha being an 10 team race for the eight playoff spots while Zeta will be entertaining throughout with a lot of "like" teams level wise. Looking back to last season some of those Zeta teams have some nice history coming up together.

WEEK 1 - Player of the Week: I'll only be kicking this to someone who's team played in a fairly close game (winning by 20 or less points).

Warnerstock Animaniacs RB Cornelius Branch. Branch only got 50 yards rushing (eight rushes) but he grabbed 14 receptions for 143 yards in the Animamiacs 17-0 win over the Nebraska-Omaha Mavricks.

WEEK 2 PREDICTIONS:

Show Me Your Tets vs. Off In The Shower - Tets will make of game out of this but in the end Off In The Shower will prove to be the superior team (31-17).

DS Factory vs. Texas Tigers - Two CPU rosters so the coin toss says Texas (3-0).

Green Bay Maulers vs. Woerth Shamrocks - We had a high scoring affair last season (GBM W 48-45) and I'd expect a little better D in this one. This will be another close one with GLB pulling it out in the fourth (34-28).

Nevada Hillbillie's vs. OffTopica Freemasons - Not sure what to make of the Freemasons as they fell flat in week one and opening conference play against the Hillbillie's won't be picking up their spirits - Nevada gets the nod (37-17).

Royal Oak Oaks vs. Warnerstock Animaniacs - Animaniacs won a tight one last week and I think they'll lose a tight one this week as the Oaks looked good in their season debut (24-17).

October Revolution vs. Alaskan "War" Raven - Revolution and the Bettles (maybe too old for some of you youngsters) - while I think back to the glory days it will be October singing the blues this week as the Raven look to pick the corps clean (37-20).

Vancouver Gorillas vs. Urban Blitzers - I like what I saw on film with the Blitzers last week even though they lost. Gorillas coming off their worst loss. Now, I'm not proclaiming I'm good in math but I do believe those two things add up to a Blitzers win (48-10)

Nebraska-Omaha Mavricks vs. Butte Pirates - Not sure what to make of either team here as I expected more from the Mavricks and less from the Pirates. Going with that logic the Pirates will take this one (34-28)

Lipton Teabaggers vs. CHAOS SOCIETY * BattleDots - In the owners poll this week 14 out of 16 report 'Yes' to being actually teabagged (I was one of the two no answer) - congrats owners. Back to this game - both teams are licking their wounds after getting beat up in the week one but I do feel the Teabaggers will rebound with a better effort and win a low scoring game (17-16)

Baltimore Rock Monsters vs. Black Box - Baltimore will caste the first stone followed by more and more as the game goes on. Black box will kick the season off at 0-2 and but will get on the board with a FG (38-3).

ATHENS WARRIORS vs. Orlando Colts - The Colts chem is still a bit low and while a high level team I think the WARRIORS have some moementum and are sitting with 100 chem - yes, it matters. Colts get bucked in this one (30-24).

The Irish Facials vs. Royal Hostile Takeover - Come on, we got the facials and teabaggers and how the heck am I suppose to do these without a little chuckle. The Irish will get the ground game going and win going away (37-20).

Detroit Muscle vs. Brethren Krewe Rum Runners - Neither team was tested in the opening week so each can consider this quiz #1 on the season. Muscle hits the gym on study night and Rum Runners (they should be drinking on study night - worked for me) take the W in a tight one (28-27)

255-0 Games
American Horror Story vs. Medford Mallards - Story gets a layup (255-0).
Blatz Beer Barbarians vs. Dryden Blue Balls - BBB busts loose (255-0).
Terror Lake Witnesses vs. White Lightning - Lightning strikes (255-0).

Keep fighting - it's a long season.

GL everyone.

It's beer thirty and I got a couple calling my name out.

Thanks for doing these ml. Haven't been in a league for some time where someone had taken the time to do these (and with a sense of humor). Used to do them a very long time ago myself but learned that as much fun as they are, they take a whole lot of time (and apparently on at least two occasions, my wife can claim that she wasn't facialed ;-) ).

Good luck to all ( just not my opponent)

Let's hope no one is using my predictions to hit Vegas up.

GG Shamrocks - knew it would be close just expected a lost more scoring by both sides.

Hmm, running game was ok, but special teams needs some serious work. Looks like scrimmages will be sent to figure what the heck is going on with my special teams. :-(

GG Blitzers. Just didn't have enough in the second half to hold you off.
