I heard there's a cash grab in here?

Good job Catch.

Not ideally perfect, but acceptable. and I support.

I'm definitely not a fan of the CEQ part, but the rest sounds pretty decent.

Plateau doesn't need to be extended, people. Jesus, three seasons is plenty. You could actually argue that it being three seasons has actually made things less competitive in the Pro leagues because elite teams stay dominant for longer.

elite teams will stay dominant regardless. Longer plateau gives more teams chances at becoming competitive.

That's real life time not player age. guess I better clarify that.

Player Development Model (real estimated time in parentheses, 40 day season, 8 day pre-season, 8 day off-season):

Season 1 (56 days): PLAYER AGE: 40

12 levels
3 boosts
Player that boosts would be level 16

Season 2 (112 days): PLAYER AGE: 80

10 levels
3 boosts
Player that boosts would be level 29

Season 3 (168 days): PLAYER AGE: 120

8 levels
3 boosts
Player that boosts would be level 40

Season 4 (224 days): PLAYER AGE: 160

7 levels
3 boosts
Player that boosts would be level 50

Season 5 (280 days): PLAYER AGE: 200

5 levels
3 boosts
Player that boosts would be level 58

Season 6 (336 days): PLAYER AGE: 240

5 levels
3 boosts
Player that boosts would be level 66

Season 7 (392 days): PLAYER AGE: 280

3 levels
3 boosts
Player that boosts would be level 72

Season 8-10 (560 days): PLAYER AGE: 400

No game or training XP. Player enters extended plateau dependent upon number of boosts as follows:

20 boosts = 120 days (3 seasons)
-6 days for each boost <20
0 boosts = 0 days

Season 11:

No game or training XP. Player enters decline.

As someone who is trying to not invest much more money into this game, I'm not a fan of this personally.

It's a great marketing move...but I personally dislike it.

Player that boosts would be level 50

Season 5 (280 days):

Where do you get level 64 in new system at age 227?

Look at the post again. Catch added the player ages instead of real life days.

You're not spending anymore money man. Unless you wanna further pimp out the CEQ. If you build him right it won't be a monumental dif.

We've seen the opposite be true. There's a far bigger gap now between the WL / Elite Pro and the average Pro team than there used to be. Longer plateau doesn't make teams any better, it just extends their peak. That's why you see a whole bunch of teams from the same network in the WL now, while correspondingly you see fewer first-time WL participants than you used to because those spots have been taken up by the networks. Under the old system, some of those network dots would have been replacing the older ones.

Now that being said, it's unquestionably true that extended plateau has increased competition between the elite teams because you have more elite dots for longer. That's a good thing for those who are able to participate, but sucks for everyone on the outside looking in.

Yeah, cross-updating of posts is confusing me....

The only thing I can see as problematic in here is that a player who was properly started on day 40 or 41 before is now not "in line" with the new leveling system.

Take Madcow's example. His player will be aged somewhere between 200 and 240 under the new system, which means his decline is going to be funky (will start on day 27 or something), but everyone will be on the same page with that and it shouldn't provide an advantage or disadvantage at all.
