WTF SHOULDN'T THERE BE SOME TYPE OF VOTE ON THIS TYPE OF SHIT?

IVE SPEND HUNDRED'S OF DOLLARS ON THIS GAME AS WELL AS OTHERS AND FINALLY BEING ABLE TO HAVE SOME DEFENSIVE CONTROL MADE IT SOMEWHAT FUN. A FEW HIGH PROFILE POSTERS MAKE COMPLAINT THREADS ABOUT THERE QB BEING SACKED TOO MUCH DESPITE THROWING FOR LIKE 500 YARDS A GAME AND 80 TDS ON THE YEAR AND THE DPC IS OVERPOWERED?

FUCKING RIDICULOUS

No, but you can currently man him up with any LB, CB, or S you want or do a zone or whatever. OC's currently have one option and one option only to counter these blitzes.

We have those little boxes up on the OAI that allow us to check them. It allows our QB to call audibles to hold back the TE, HB or FB to block in case of a blitz. It does work, I have used it quite often, but it just doesn't work enough for my liking. It should be an easier QB check to pass to get the audibles called when the QB sees the blitz coming.

As far as the Hot reads and quick slants, I love the idea and we agree on that. I would much rather see that than having the DPC taken away. But, when we decided to have CBs cover the inside shoulder of WRs this season, it really took away the slants and crossing routes, which is why this wasn't as much of an issue last season and it is this season.

I'm okay with the idea of limitation of player movements. I mostly only want to be able to control coverages, like how O-Coordinators can change progressions.

let users select the coverage scheme from a list, and position players based on the advanced AI

If this is the case, I'll be very happy

This is by far the worst thing that will ever happen to this game

Do these guys know anything about real football? Just curious. I love this game as it does somewhat resemble real football. It's starting to sound like a couple of nerds who never played the game are trying to fix things that don't need to be fixed. Watch some real football and not the stuff in the North West. Watch some ravens games or Saints games.

DPC was the only way an overmatched team could create a big advantage.. I lose a large amount of my interest in this game with this decision. I am extremely disheartened that the response to exploit blitzes is to completely remove the DPC.

You don't have to solely focus on the AI of the offensive linemen, you could fix your passing to allow passes earlier in routes.

Simply limiting the ability to put a LB within a full dot circumference of the DL would also eliminate exploit blitzes where the QB can't even throw before he's hit, or someone comes unblocked.

Sending an unbalanced blitz is a part of real football, and it's sad that it is labeled an exploit here. The blitz should be fine.. the QB AI to roll away from the pressure, and the green light to throw to an open man is what should be fixed.

Terrible, terrible move. Honestly. The DPC was what distinguished the regular leagues from the casual leagues for me.

Right, there should be one vision check for lining up a TE on the correct side every time a blitz is seen and the check passed but it just doesn't happen that way because the side depends on basic settings and not the check success or failure. Of course, that key on the vision check opens up a lot of possibilities discussed back on pages 35-55ish. I suggest you check 'em out. I gotta run so I can't rehash, but there was some interesting discussion of alternatives to this for OC's.

I'll be back later and will start back from this point to answer/address any questions/issues people have.

bro, please do something removing the dpc will kill this game

Chief, you guys have made a very good decision. This will better GLB. BUT, if i recall, there is only about 20-30 plays total that you can choose from, and they're all very mediocre, and we can't tell the computer when to call it. And some players won't follow the assigned route. Most real playbooks have around 150-300 plays in their playbook. Will you up the limit to the amount of plays you can have? Because if there's a library of over 500+ plays, and you can only have a maximum of 20 plays, OCs and DCs will not like having to delete plays every 3-4 days if they want to try out different plays, you hear?

Also, with the 20(i dont remember the current play limit) plays in your playbook max, GLB has like 20 plays total, offense and defense combined, and by adding all of those into your playbook, there's really not much else you can do concerning plays.

To me, it seems like it could actually work.

The greatest flaw with the advanced AI is the coverage. You can already move DL/LB around a bit with line shift etc. It's just the coverage that is frustratingly terrible.
