How often is a HB going to be in a situation where there is only going to be 1 person within 10yds of him? You get to the corner and you've got the DE and CB easily within 10yds. You get 5 yds past the CB and you probably have a SS/FS and an OLB within 10yds. You get 10 yds away from the SS/FS and it's already a TD. It's not worth the investment to fire twice a season.

When they pick an archetype - you can't move onto the next screen (allocating skill points) without picking one.

Yes on #2.

I see lots of players getting created and retired after 1 season....seems too early to choose an SA. Most SAs are not chosen until much later in build, not you're forcing an SA on before we've applied an SP points...

There really isn't the selection that something like this should have before it is implemented. I understand that this is just something extra, but I think there should be a few more for both sides of the ball otherwise there will only be a select few with a decent number of people investing in them.

There are 2 solutions that I see here:

1) Make sure every archetype has a few decent SAs that people actually want to choose and would use, to encourage diversity in the same archetype. If this is the idea, then there needs to be a few good options available, or people will choose some crappy SA, and never put points into it, thus rendering this idea useless.

2) Give each archetype a specific bonus SA (i.e. don't let them choose) based on what is the best for that position. This differentiates even more between archetypes at one position, although is redundant to bonus and penalty SAs.

Yeah 10 yards is beyond situational. I just went through a game and from all of the plays found one instance where it could have fired for either team. Maybe if it was 6 yards this could be viable, but 10 might as well be 50.

Actually, the the one exception might be kick returners who would receiver this bonus for the first defender in range. Still that seems far too situational though.

If you pick OOP SA well you be allowed to use AEQ on it?

Will disguise blitz and head of steam work vs run blocking too?

Say blitzing a safety vs a sweep. Will disguise blitz increase the chance that he is not seen and would head of steam increase the chances of him not being blocked?

I can't see why you wouldn't be able to.

You don't need to invest in it then, or necesserially ever. I think that most people will have an ideal build plan and know 1 solid SA to add to it, and worst case, you simply don't invest in the extra SA. Not exactly going to break the build.

Yes the bonus SA will be an SA that is not on the exclusion list OR one of the new ones. This was just a way to give a few more options to players, it wasn't meant to be a huge list and we don't want it to be a huge list. It's one extra SA a player can choose, not a whole new tree, so it was never intended for their to be 20 options to choose from.

These new SA's will not be available on AEQ.

So we get to choose a bonus SA, AND and a new SA??

No. You have your 10 "old" SAs, and you add an 11th. No 12.

I was expecting SAs that would make you want to put points in them before level 60. These seem like more might work/kinda work stuff that isn't essential to a build. Except for the VAs that got converted, which just takes them away from younger players.

{edit} Apparently it only denies the VAs from the archetype players. And wording was changed so it no longer suggests all vas are getting removed.
