You could do that...but the smart way would be to train to 33, cap at 48, then train again. You'd have to spend skill points to do it efficiently and it would certainly be less efficient than current auto level gains, and would limit the extreme you could build to....thus narrowing extremes and increasing competition.

you actually lose training efficiency at a certain point if you calculate in % gained. All it would change is the reason to build unbalanced for your first 6 seasons.

I get the training efficiency, my point was more the part I bolded. Unbalanced builds are unbalanced regardless of the reason.

It's not a healthy environment for a longterm game. It's great for the individual who's in the know, but bad for the community as a whole.

makes no sense to hit 78 speed, strength, blocking, whatever if you do not have auto gains. People could round out builds to compete earlier without losing ability at the end of their career. Thus making lower levels more competitive and increasing the actual amount of time your dot is trying to win instead of building for the future.

i can't even think of any agents who are victims of the system to the point where they'd be building good players according to a good strategy they had planned out, if not for the fact that they didn't know how to maximize the value of their autogains. they just don't exist

Great point. I don't see what the auto level gains do for the game other than encourage slow/cap building.

A power WR can have normal speed cap while having a 1-1 60 cap strength while a speed WR would have 1-1 speed until the 60 cap while strength cap is normal.

ALGs force non realistic builds at low levels and kill the game for your new customers. Building a new DOT sucks until 5-6 seasons in. Do new customers want to wait 200 days before having fun? Will GLB grow under this model?

are you fucking kidding me? dumbest thing i have heard. i've had fun with my dots since season 2 of their build (first season was just maxing XP)

Except if you dump the auto level gains people will just save all their skill points and slow build through training.

after you train past a certain point you are actually losing skill points....removing auto gains would not change this at all.

so you sacrifice minor attributes for major attributes.

I think removing ALG's would actually take alot of the fun out of building a player and decrease the options and strategy when creating

ALG's aren't going away. You can keep discussing it if you want but you're just wasting your time doing so.

I suppose, but that will have a much lower impact than the current cap building. It makes sense to stop training an attribute far earlier if there are no ALGs.
