Wanted to do more, this is all I got through before the close.
Sorry for not following the exact format....


QB Pocket Passer
- Open Man
- Each level of Open Man increases the QB's ability to spot an open man.

QB Deep Passer
- Leading Man
- Each level of Leading Man increases the QB's ability to lead receivers, and at longer distances.

FB Blocking
- Downfield Blocker (like the VA)
- Each level of Downfield Blocker gives a bonus to spotting and holding blocks more than 3 yards past the line of scrimmage. This SA is effective only on run plays.

WR Speedster
- Catch in Stride
- Each level of of Catch in Stride increases the bonus to catching balls without losing speed.

WR Possession
- Hold on tight
- Each level of Hold on tight increases the ability to catch and hold on to balls when covered by multiple defenders.
(by hold on, I mean prevent knocked loose as well)

TE Blocker
- Outside Blocker (like the VA)
- Bonus to spotting AND holding blocks outside of the tackle box

OL Pass Blocking
- Neutralize
- Quick recovery after being shed / spin/power move from d-line

OL Run Blocking
- Second Level Blocker
- Bonus to spotting and holding secondary blocks

Boomer Kicker
- Touchback King
- Bonus to kickoff distance

Finesse Kicker
- On a roll
- Bonus to FG accuracy, accumulates after every made FG

Boomer Punter
- Fair Catch
- Increase distance on high angle punts

Finesse Punter
- Lucky Bounce
- Ball sticks when pinning opponents against the endzone

Special Teams Only Player
- Both Ways Blocker
- Bonus to holding blocks increases with every broken block, and vise versa, accumulating throughout the game

Returner
- Momentum
- Decrease loss of speed when breaking tackles

since some positions like DE have so many VAs that are good

It might be a good idea to have an option to put a VA of your choice into the bonus SA if you prefer this over the potential DE SA options.

Don't mean to hijack this yello1, but I thought I'd expand on your idea:

HB Scat Back - Screen Machine
The HB is able to fake the defense as a blocker, and slips into routes with uncanny ability. The Screen Machine skill may cause defenders in man coverage against the HB to momentarily freeze at the beginning of the route.

This skill may give the HB an extra step on the defender when running routes.

Additional Levels:
Increases the chance that the fake will work, and the length of time the defender is faked.
