WR Possession - Vertical Leap

This player has an outstanding vertical, he has the ability to go up high and make the grabs over defenders. Each point increases his jump and chance of catching over defenders.

FB Running - North South Runner
The FB smoothly takes the hand off and hits the lane hard and fast, receiving a bonus to boost to agility, speed and breaking tackles within 3 yards of the line of scrimmage and inside the guards while using at least 51% power running. Additional levels increase the chance of the SA working and the boosts.

HB Elusive - Broad Jumper

This HB has an outstanding broad jump, gives him the ability to dive for first downs and touchdowns. Each point gives a boost to jumping.

FB Blocking - Big Block
The FB puts additional speed and momentum to lay a highlight reel block on the defender when blocking on a running play, gaining a bonus to strength, speed and blocking and the chance of pancaking the defender at the moment of impact. Additional levels increase the likelihood of a Big Block and the bonuses.

Hard Hitter Secondary - Lights Out

This DB is a punishing hitter. Each point to Lights Out increases the chance of a forced fumble, and each tackle from this player decreases his opponents morale.

OL Run Blocking - Lane Maker
The OLineman makes a good lane, gaining a bonus to strength and speed and pushing defenders on running plays inside the tackles. Additional levels increase the likelihood of a Big Block and the bonuses.

QB Pocket Passer: Unfazed> Pressure? What Pressure? This QB isn't bothered by incoming defenders. (Decrease penalty to hurried passes) Additional levels further diminish the effect of a QB Hurry.

QB Deep Passer: Precision Strike> Arm strength is nothing without some accuracy. (Increased accuracy on deep passes). Additional levels increase accuracy boost to deep passes.

QB Scrambler: Escape Alley> This QB prefers to run from the rush, and knows where to go when the pocket collapses. (Increases Vision when QB tucks the ball.) Additional levels increase the Vision boost.

HB Power: Juggernaut> “Once he starts moving, no force can stop him.”(Increases Break Tackle % and grants a small burst of speed when a tackle is broken.) Additional levels increase Break tackle%.

HB ElusiveGlancing Blow>This back excels at dodging the biggest hitters. (If the HB is going to suffer a Big/Monster/Thunderous Hit, this SA triggers a re-roll of miss tackle) Additional levels increase the HB's re-roll win%.

HB Scat Back: Secret Weapon> No one accounted for the HB as a receiver, and now he's loose! (The HB is “invisible” to the defense for a certain amount of time. Only able to fire on passing plays.) Additional levels increase the odds of firing, and length of time that the HB is unaccounted for. Time is measured in ticks.

HB Combo: Featured Back> This HB is clearly a superior player, and everyone knows it. (Gives a boost to STR, AGI, SPD every time the HB touches the ball, but is more susceptible to Big/Monster /Thunderous Hits.) Additional levels decrease susceptibility to Big/Monster/Thunderous Hits.
**This could be very powerful, suggested it be at the end of the SA tree!**

FB Running: Battering Ram> FB's do most of their running up the gut. This one excels at it. (Increase Break tackle % against D-Lineman) Additional levels increase boost to Break tackle% vs. the D-line.

FB Blocking: Dynamite> This FB blows up defenders like dynamite! (when it activates, it increases the distance the FB moves the defender away from the play.) Additional levels increase odds of firing.

FB Combo: Steel Skin> This FB is more resistant to contact than others at his position. (Decreases amount of energy lost on contact) Additional levels further minimize energy loss.

FB Scat Back: Nimble > FB's don't usually have these kinds of moves... (when it activates, gives a boost to fake success % after a catch) Additional levels increase odds of firing, and the increase to having a successful fake.

WR Speedster: Extra gear> You're not going to catch him. Seriously. (Increases the WR's Top Speed and Agility on deep routes) Additional levels increase the boost given to Top Speed and Agility.



WR Possession: Magnet Hands> It feels like the ball is attached to the WR's hands. (Small increase to Catching. If the SA fires, the WR automatically wins all knock loose rolls vs DB's and cannot fumble.) Additional levels increase boost to catching attribute.
**Like Featured Back, this should be at the end of the SA Tree!**

WR Power: Clear Out> This WR is great at making space for himself. (If it fires, the defender gets “pushed away” a bit, allowing room for the WR to make a catch.) Additional levels increase odds of firing.

TE Blocker: I believe that Staz's “Seal the Edge” SA suggestion is perfect, so I am not saying anything here.

TE Power: Power Surge > The TE is ready to punish the defense! (Increases STR if it fires). Additional Levels increase odds of firing and boost to STR.

TE Receiver: Zone Buster> This TE can find openings in the zone and exploit them. (Increases route running and seeing defender's zones) Additional levels boost the increase to route running and seeing defender's zones.

TE Combo Mismatch> This TE is too quick for LB's and too big for DB's. (Increase Break Tackle vs DB's and fake success % against LB's) Additional Levels increase boosts to the %'s.

Man Specialist Secondary - Jammed Out

Increases the chance that the CB will jam the WR out of the play, delays the WR off the line of scrimmage for one second. More points give it a bigger chance of success.

Hard Hitting LB - Missing Teeth?

This LB is just a ferocious animal out on the field. He is so mean that when ever a ball carrier sees this guy he loses morale and confidence for the game quicker than normal. Each level decreases the odds that the ball carrier's morale and confidence will decrease faster throughout the game.


The idea behind the SA is that Aura of Intimidation and Growl seem to do nothing from what I have noticed in my 11 seasons here and this will allow

HB Elusive - Scared

This player runs faster when being chased by a DL or LB, each point increases his break away speed when being chased by a DL/LB.

i like all of these and think they should be given strong consideration. some may need to be modified a bit but they're a good start.

QB Pocket Passer - Hot Read: The QB sees the blitz comming and has the WR break off the route to give the QB a chance to throw him the ball. Each level gives a bonus to the QB's vision to spot a blitz.

Pocket Passer: Quick Read.
Each level of Quick Read helps the QB read through his progressions more quickly and find the open man.

Elusive HB: Hurdle.
Each level of Hurdle increases the likelihood and effectiveness of a hurdle (used to evade diving tackles and to stretch for extra yardage when tackled).

HB Scat Back: Blazing Hands.
Each level in this skill increases the ability to catch passes in stride without slowing down.

HB Combo: Duality.
Each level in this skill gives a small boost to breaking tackles AND to fake outs.

WR Possesion: Circus Catch.
Each level in this SA increases the WR's ability to make catches while covered tightly especially along the sideline or in the endzone.

Combo LB -

Utility Man - This linebacker can do it all. Each level of this SA gives a slight boost to both making the tackle and the ability to keep up with a speedy receiver.

Runaway train Blocking Fullback

This player loves to block people into the ground. When the fullback pancakes a defender he gets a 1% bonus to speed/agility/vision until he engages another defender, every time he pancakes a player he doubles the bonus until he reaches the next defender.

Possession WR -

Leap of Faith - This target is so reliable, the Quarterback will look his way even when blanketed by a much quicker defender. Each level of Leap of Faith increases the chance, that this players jumping ability will allow him to go up in the air and make the catch despite excellent coverage. (Increase chance to outjump the defender / win pd / catch roll)

Jump Ball
This player can outjump all the competition. High Jumper gives the CB the ability to outjump an
opposing player in jump ball situations. This skill is far more effective for players with high jumping.
Additional levels: Increases the bonus to winning a jump ball.

Man Specialist Secondary:
Jump the Route When playing 1 on 1 man coverage, this CB gets a bonus to catching and jumping if he passes his vision check to jump the route.

Speed WR:
Break Off Route Pressure getting to your QB? Break off the deep route and come back to the QB for an easier throw.

Possession Receiver - Move The Chains
This player is adept at finding the first down marker. The WR gets a bonus to speed and fake chance when running short routes designed to get the first down. This skill seems to work best in clutch situations. Increasing levels will increase the bonus to speed and fake chance

QB Deep Passer - Absorb Hits
This QB can take a hit or a sack. Each level reduces the amount of energy and morale loss from hurries and sacks.

Kicker - Soaring Kickoff
The Soaring Kickoff skill gives the K a bonus to kick velocity of hign-angle kicks. This skill causes the ball to have a longer hang time and allow the coverage team to get downfield.

Returner - Escape Artist
This skill gives a kick or punt returner a bonus to avoiding tackles immediately after he catches the ball. This skill is particularly useful against teams with great special teams.

WR Possession - Big Hands
This WR has big hands to hang on to the ball. Each level increases the WR's ability to avoid having the ball knocked loose and fumbling after catching the ball.

Special Teams Only Player - STOP Genius
On special teams, this player is great at reading blocks and not easily fooled by fakes. Each level gives a boost to avoiding blocks and to avoiding fakes when playing on special team coverage units.

QB Pocket Passer - Outside Shoulder - QB has the ability to put the ball on the outside shoulder of the receiver. Making it harder for the defender to make an interception or a pass defend. Penalty to pass defend and Interception rolls for the defender.

QB Deep Passer - Patient Passer - Gives his O-line a bonus to blocking/agility on any long passing plays. That way they give him the time he needs to find his man.

QB Pocket Passer - Stand Tall
Each level of Stand Tall makes this QB less distracted by hurries and gives a bonus to vision that increases as the play goes on.

HB Elusive - Outside Runner
Each level of Outside Runner gives a bonus to agility and fake % when running outside the tackle box.

FB Blocking - Helping Hand
Each level of Helping Hand gives a % bonus to hold block on pass plays and a speed bonus on running plays.

Combo DL - Backfield Menace
Each level of Backfield Menace gives a % bonus to forcing fumbles when tackling ball carriers/quarterback behind the line of scrimmage.

Finesse Punter - Coffin Corner
Each level of Coffin Corner gives a bonus to punting and vision when kicking on the opponents' side of the 50.

WR Possession - Zone Buster
Each level of Zone Buster increases the chance of the WR finding the soft spot in a zone defense, even if it means going off route.

OL Run Blocking - Pulling Guard
A boost to acceleration and max speed at the start of a play, plus a blocking bonus for the entire play, when the OL has a pulling assignment for a run or a screen.

Strength DL - Arm Tackle
Bonus (or ability) to tackle nearby runners while engaged in a block. This is more effective when used by stronger DL, or against lighter ballcarriers.

Special Teams Only Player - Sideline Wakeup
Gives a morale and energy boost to all teammates on the sideline when the STOP executes a pancake block, Big Hit, or Monster Hit.

Special Teams Only Player - ST General
The ST is often responsible for making sure the ST Unit is ready for the upcoming play. The ST General skill gives a boost of morale, stamina, and acceleration the ST unit (minus the Returner, Punter, and Kicker) right before the snap. This skill only works for a
Special Teams Only Archetype player.
Additional Levels: Increase the chance of the skill working, and the size of the boost to teammates.

QB Pocket Passer: In a Rhythm-- This player can really get an offense going. For every consecutive pass during a drive that he completes, he receives a small bonus to his Confidence, Vision, and chance to fire Field General. Resets upon failed pass (whether it be an interception, deflection, sack, or loss of down, etc.) *sort of like On A Roll but for QBs

OL Pass Blocking: Ride Out--This lineman has the knack for letting defenders ride themselves out of the play. For all pass rushers coming from the outside, this ability allows the lineman to "bounce" defenders to the outside if they are about to pass the lineman's engage block radius.

Coverage LB: Tip It Up-- He may not be the best pass defender, but he sure knows how to create opportunities! This SA increases the time that the ball is in the air after this player makes a successful deflection and gives a small bonus to his Pass Deflection and Knocked Loose rolls.

Hard Hitting LB: Lateral Motion: This player is very effective at covering plays outside the tackles. He gets a bonus to speed and agility while moving horizontally toward the sideline on plays outside the tackle box within 10 yards of the LOS.

WR Possession- Safety Valve- This player is the QB's go-to-guy when he is hurried. The WR gets thrown to in situations where the QB wouldn't trust anyone else to make the play. Safety Valve gives the player a bonus to being targeted when the QB is hurried as well as reducing the player's morale and energy loss on all plays.

TE Receiver - Taking the Punishment This TE loves going over the middle, and could care less if he gets blown up so long as he holds onto the ball. Each level adds a +% modifier to jumping, catching and confidence.

Boomer Kicker: Last man standing

This kicker is determined to produce only the best results possible in the snaps he is part of - which also means making sure he can stop anyone that gets through his kickoff team. When performing a kickoff, this kicker recieves a % bonus to speed, agility, strength, vision and tackling. This bonus is only active after the kick has actually been performed but during the rest of the play.

WR Speedster - Go Deep
Each level of Go Deep increases the WR's speed when running a 'streak' route.

TE Receiver - Tough Assignment
This TE is hard to cover, and can be a handful for even the quickest LBs. For each level of Tough Assignment this TE gains a bonus to catching passes when being covered by a LB.

Returner
Showboat Returner: Each level in this SA increases the chance to boost morale and lower opponents' morale when this player comes up with a big return.

Combo LB - Quick Thinking
This LB is adept in all areas of the game, and handles all situations well. Each level of Quick Thinking gives this LB a bonus to reading whether the play is a pass or a run.

QB Pocket Passer - Step Through
This QB is a great passer when protected, his passes are pinpoint when he is able to pass off his front foot. Each level of Step Through increases the likelihood that the QB will step into his pass (pocket permitting) and gives a bonus to pass quality. If the pocket is collapsing or he is under pressure, the SA cannot fire.

WR Possession - Crowd Favorite
This player is a crowd favorite. after first down catches/TDs he excites the home crowd by his on the field celebrations. he also does these on the road angering the opposing crowds. These cause minor morale gains to his team at home and penalizes the defense for road games.

Strength Dline- Arm Tackler
-this player is a force in the trenches. He is great at making arm tackles even while engaged with a blocker.

Blocking FB - Runaway Truck
-This player really picks up steam as the block progresses downfield. Each tick the FB gains more momentum/speed before he engages in a block


Strength Dline/Hard Hitter LB - Team Colors
-This player tackles with spirit. He loves collisions and leaves his team colors on the helmets of opposing players when tackling them. Each level increases the morale penalty on tackles including QB knock downs.

Man Specialist Secondary - Playmaker
-This player is a playmaker after an interception. This player receives a speed, agility, vision, carrying and tackle avoidance boost during Interceptions. Once the ball is in the playmakers hands he is a threat to score. Each level increases the boost to speed, agility, vision, carrying and tackle avoidance. If the ball is in the playmaker's hands he can turn an errant pass into points for his team.

QB Pocket Passer -3 step drop
-Practice makes perfect. This player has excellent rapport with his WRs. The QB is excellent in short and middle timing routes. These plays fend off pass rushers and confuse CBs because the play happens so quickly. The 3 step drop QB will receive a slight bonus to pass quality when targeting a WR on his first read because these are timing routes the QB and WR have practiced daily. These are especially useful against loose coverage CBs.

Returner - Game Changer
-Special teams is one third of the game. The returner can spark the team and even put points on the scoreboard. The returner can be the game changer when evenly matched teams battle. If the punter doesn't get the coffin corner then the returner is a threat to change the game. The returner gets a speed boost on Kickoff Returns. He is also electric in the open field on punt returns. He is very tough for the first guy to bring down. usually it takes one man to slow down the returner before the second man can tackle the returner. The returner gets a tackle avoidance/broken tackle only on the first tackler during punt returns. Each level increases the speed boost on kickoff returns and the tackle avoidance against the first tackler on punt returns.

Hard-Hitting LB - Crushing Blow
The LB delivers a hit that punishes the ball carrier. The Crushing Blow skill has a chance to knock an opposing player out of the game temporarily to recover.

This skill can force starters to miss clutch situations, or make LBs who make many tackles a more imposing presence on the field.

Additional Levels:
Increases the chance of the skill working, and increases the chance that the player will miss additional plays.

Blitzing LB - Bluff Blitz
The linebacker's reputation as a blitzer causes the QB to think there is a blitz coming, even when the LB isn't blitzing. The Blitz Bluff causes the QB to audible tight ends or backs in to block when this LB is on the field and not blitzing, even if tactics dictate that the QB wouldn't normally do so.

Additional Levels:
Increases the chance that the QB audibles blockers when the LB isn't blitzing.

Combo DL - Motor

This DL is relentless. Each level of this SA increases the DL's in play breath and balance.

Man Secondary Specialist - Lockdown
This CB has a reputation for shutting down opposing wide receivers in man coverage. The Lockdown skill may cause a QB to ignore a WR on any given play, even if that WR is open, as long as this CB is in man coverage against that WR.

This skill can cause opposing offenses to pass up big plays or open receivers.

Additional Levels:
Increases the chance that a QB ignores the WR on any given play, and increases the distance from the defender that this WR is considered "open".

Pocket Passer QB - In Stride

This QB is very accurate. If this SA triggers, Receivers catching passes from the QB receive temporary bonuses to speed and agility. Additional levels of this SA increase the chance of it triggering.

HB Elusive - Jump Cut

This HB has amazing lateral agility. Upon seeing a lane to the outside, this HB can make a quick lateral move and start back up without much penalty to speed. Additional levels of this SA allow the HB to make this cut at higher speeds.

WR Possession - Box Out

This WR is good at using his body to shield the defender from the ball. The defender covering this receiver suffers a penalty to deflecting passes. Additional levels increase the penalty to the defender.

Hard Hitting LB - Alligator Arms
This LB intimidates receivers coming across the middle, increasing his odds of catching and retaining the ball within 7 yards of the line of scrimmage and point of snap (or within the tackles) when this LB is in play at MLB or ILB. Additional levels increase the odds of the SA triggering and the catching and retention penalty.

OL Pass Blocking - Redirect
The OL succeeds in redirecting the Pass Rusher away from the direction of the play, increasing his chance to hold the block and reducing the defenders ability to break the block. Most useful for agile blockers facing more powerful power rushing defenders. Additional levels increase the odds of the SA triggering and the amounts of the bonuses.

Man Specialist Secondary - Jam The Receiver
When in Man Coverage the Cornerback hits the receiver at the line of scrimmage, disrupting his route. Cancels the receivers Route Running and First Step bonuses. More likely to succeed when the defender is stronger and more agile than the receiver and may trigger a penalty. Additional levels increase the odds of the SA triggering and succeeding.

Combo DL - The Rip
When blocked the DL will strike the Offensive linemans shoulder, pushing him off to one side, gaining a bonus to strength, reducing the agility of the blocker, and increasing his odds of breaking the block. Additional levels increase the chances of the SA triggering and the bonuses.
