What is your opinion on big hit, monster hit, and growl. Is it worth it to put points in them? Please give reasons.

I just got my FS up to lvl 15, and started filling out the SA Coverage tree around 12. I didn't really do much with the SA's before that. I agree with the earlier post that the SS tree is a little better than the FS tree. I wish I could move Super Vision earlier in the tree, remove 1st Step, and add in Sticky Fingers.

As for the big hit, monster hit, and growl, I'm pretty much ignoring them for now. While it would be nice to blow people up once in a while, I would much rather increase speed, vision, and tackling in the standard attributes, and fill out the coverage tree so I could take better advantage of Closing Speed. I am starting to add points to the two tackle SAs, but that's probably as far as I'll get in the hitter tree.

First Step and COD are great!! also super vision and closing speed are great for a FS!!! SS's too! I invvested in these at level 3 and it paid off!

for SSs, only super vision and wrap-up tackling are important

actually all the coverage skills for SS are important. Supervision, change direction and closing speed being the most important of them.

I agree 100%


I'm just pissed that the SS can get Closing Speed in their coverage tree, whereas the FS has it freaking LAST in the hitting tree. I really don't care about the Growl or Bit Hit settings, but have to essentially waste points down there in order to get Closing Speed.

Agreed.

I just pumped a 4-spot into Super Vision and can't wait to watch it work. I also have a 3-spot in Diving Tackle and it helped save my team's bacon numerous times last season...

Yea I'm not sure if people pay attention but when my safety makes tackles he seems to go to the side of the player and then tackle them kind of form behind not sure if this is to prevent being powered over or a result of agility

Here's my Level 16 SS's attributes:

Strength: 19.5 Blocking: 12.54
Speed: 58 Tackling: 28.81
Agility: 32.27 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 12.54 Catching: 17.65
Stamina: 39 Carrying: 12.54
Vision: 33.47 Kicking: 7
Confidence: 18.4 Punting: 9

1-1-1-1-1
0-0-0-0-0

I'll be leveling tommorrow and boosting 3 levels soon. I plan on puting one or two points on wrap-up tackle. Then maybe a couple on closing speed and a couple other coverage abilities. Then improving my agility, vision, and tackling. Oh and maybe another point or two on stamina (just so I can keep playing on Hard every game).

Any thoughts on my intentions? Your advice/recommendations are appreciated.

You need some in vision, tackling, but strength is more important now.

Stamina is not needed once it hits the 37+ range, it'll just be overkill.

Yeah I wasn't planning on doing anything with stamina, but this last game I played 65 plays and dropped to 70 energy. So I don't know.
