Most of my key positions I've stopped with sp's once there at 76-78 natural at the 6th cap in Speed and Agility. And diversify equipment accordingly depending on build plans and position. Dose anyone else see any benefit to neglect the other attributes and keep pounding speed and or agility past 77 or 78. Just trying to get other peoples take on this.

Thanks
Josh

even then you'll need vision/carry/SAs

There are places I would do it, but a HB isn't one of them.

My HBs is higher than that and it's worked out. Just depends on your build man, I haven't neglected anything so I figured I could spare to outrun everyone on the field.

Not trying to pick on you but I dont believe that.
For skill positions/CBs/LBs IŽd personally settle at 74 at max and let the natural level gains do the rest; many times even 68 is enough imo.

I took one of my HB's base speed to 85 before level 30. Another I took his base speed to 88 at the end of his career. Very effective both times.

Why not? If for your position speed/agility are your major attributes there's no reason not to take them past 76 as long as you also take your other attributes to a decent level. For lineman most take their major attributes (strength/blocking) well past 76.

My WR currently has 88 natural speed and 75 agility:

Not trying to pick on YOU but that sounds a little retarded. What is so hard to believe about that? Maybe you just haven't been playing this game very long. If your guy is old enough and you have been training speed his whole career, it's not hard to do.

His base is 84 and with eq its 111 right now and I haven't neglected anything important to an elusive/speed back. I even got catching up to 50 and with scat back he catches balls blindfolded.

for you guys that went over 77 natural with SP, did you also put all your eq into speed? how high did you take agility?

I've never taken anything beyond 77. For a few positions (C, K, P), stopping at 77 will land you roughly at 100 in the late 40s, on your first attribute.

For most positions, I prefer stopping at 73, since a lot of dots need multiple attributes at 49-61 or higher.

Example: CB

I stopped at 73 speed & agility. It's at 77 now on both.

Example: OG
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=954301

I stopped at 77 strength & blocking. They're at 86 and 80 now.

In retrospect, G is one position where I would take strength to 80 if I make another G.

For the +1 gainers, here's a K:

Took kicking to 77. At level 46, he'll hit 100 natural kicking, then 1 training session will bring him to 101 natural. Going beyond 77 in this case makes zero sense to me. I'd like confidence to be up nearly as high as kicking, so those SP can be better spent there. Also, there's the fact that kickers seem to randomly perform. I've got what would appear to be a horribly built kicker, by today's incredible lolbar standards, and he performs just fine.

The low gainers (natural level-up progression) are where you get the most benefit from taking any single attribute high.

No offense but your HB is not exactly tearing it up nor has he. Certainly not bad but also not top notch.
