I do like this one. It may be more possible when the flash replays come, also.

With creative route running, the "your an idiot if you can't tell the play" does not apply any more. Needs to be instant epic. Would make the game more user friendly as we are hurting for people to be OC and DC as it takes up so much time.

Without knowing how the database is set up, I'm not sure if the problem you suggest would exist or not. If each DPC play is given a unique ID (which is never reused after the play is deleted), it would be a simple matter of storing the DPC ID with the replay, and then when you go to display the page just look it up for the name. If the play's unique ID couldn't be found, it could just say "DELETED PLAY".

If it's not a custom defensive play, it could just show a short summary of the options for the play:
4-3 Cover 2 Man to Man CB2, SS Blitz

Or, if the output was named in the Defense AI, it could just show the name of the output line that was triggered.

Actually, come to think of it, that might be the way to go with all of them. Show the name of the output with the called play in parentheses. Examples:
Pray for Luck (5WR Streaks) v. Stop Strong Side Rush (4-3 Cover 2 Man to Man CB2, SS Blitz)

(not that you'd ever see both the offensive play and the defensive, unless you were a coordinator for both teams)

Like you say it depends on the DB being used and how it is built.

However, over time you would be accumulating a bunch of garbage data and storing it. Really the only informational relevance is to the current and possibly the last season of games, which would greatly reduce the db load over time...keep in mind that these guys run thousands of games with thousands of plays, each of which would add more and more entries, etc., etc.

It'd just be better DB management for them in the long term. Of course that is one guys opinion

I have looked thru this whole forum and have not seen a single person opposed to the idea , this should be epic and implemented today LOL I am a team owner with a ton of players and really cant figure out what plays are working all the time and what plays never work for my offense/defense this would help me and many others alot
