even if all you are getting is .33 it may still be worth it to get it there a couple lvls earlier. but my friend and i were arguing with DT (.67) being the example.

In the example of DT, hitting the first cap at level 3 is no better than level 4. For a 4 or 5 major position, it's even worse, for instance a WR hitting at 2 or 3 is no better off than 4.

It's only "worth" it when the decimal works in your favor. But generally with players like WR training at those levels is still providing more SP than the auto level gains would anyway.

training on normal is only a benefit if you are trying to reach a cap sooner

for example, when I roll a C, I keep re-rolling until Strength gets into the range where I can cap it during L2. Then I train Strength on normal to get Strength up to 28 and have 90%+ left over for the free point later on. Before I hit L3 i dump the saved SPs into strength to hit the 48 cap.

the same could go for Ks and Ps, maybe DTs and OGs... I think other than those positions it probably isn't worth the huge losses from not doing intense.

On Intense, you get training value proportionate to the cost, and then on top of that you get the tokens. It also appears that training on Intense will get you more "Breakthroughs" in your training. Every position in the game has at least 3 attributes that need to be very high so training just 1 at a time has very limited value.

Hitting at 3 isn't, but hitting at 2 is.

not really

If you have added attributes to 49 and are training - you get an extra value of +.33 for level ups, and your training value for each intense training is .3 (.15 x 2).

At 23, your intense training nets .41 value. At 24 it is .39, at 25 .38.

It will take 4 levels to get from 49 to 60.5 cap.

Training at lower value has to make up a total of 1.32 sp in auto level gains.

So the question is will you have more than 14 intense trainings after your player can hit the first cap and before he gains 5 more levels after that. (Or you could do 18 normal trainings)

If doing regular slow building, probably not.

For other auto level gain values

With an auto level value of .5 then you would need to have 22 intense or 28 normal trainings before gaining 4 levels.
With an auto level value of .67 then you would need 28 intense or 35 normal trainings before gaining 3 levels.
