Set one's default language. If it's different than yours, maybe have a little flag icon pop up next to their name so you know how best to communicate with them?

I was wondering how the language mods would get chosen.
They have to be highly trusted, as they basically can control the enjoyment on the non English speaking users. They would need to have a good knowledge of the FAQs currently admin don't know who can speak what.

OH SNAP \( ಠ_ಠ )/
In that case, I think we should find moderators who speak each particular language. I call English. If that's taken, then I'll take French.

Yeah, that is the biggest issue in all of this. We'd have to seek out folks just like any Mod is. I'd assume they'd start as forum specific Mods like FFA/Suggestions/GD and work closely with full Mods.
But, I think it could be done. But I imagine it'd start small with the more common langauges.

Actually, this thread sprang out of someone requesting help in another language. Why assume everyone speaks English well?

This isn't necessarily True. I have AT LEAST one player specifically, who lives on the otherside of the world, literrally, and would benefit from this type of implementation. It would make it much easier for me to communicate with them, there's plenty of people in this game I think, that could benefit from this and I think there's enough in the game that could that make it worth doing.

Yes, that sounds good and it will be tough though. Even if someone shows great mod qualities for it, they may not speak a word of any other language.
and dmfa, I'll take English and French with you, perhaps German.
Being English I'm a master at that.
